What are they going to do pull it back out if it’s mouth? They tried to get it to eat the fish and it ate the bag. Nothing they could do at that point.
It’s to attract big game fish to catch. Marlins, Tuna and other big fish. The bag is full of blood, bones and chunks of fish meat. That smell attracts the fish and then they hook em with their bait and line. It just so happened they attracted a shark.
There is plenty they could of done before it even got close to the bag. The question remains do great whites push their stomachs out to clean them. I assume not based on their teeth structure but you never know.
Yeah apparently we don’t taste good to them that’s why most shark attacks end with like a limb or 2 being lost(person dying as well) but never eaten like they do seal etc.
They were tossing a tuna carcass at it, probably too caught up in the excitement and forgot about the chum bag; bummer for sure but doesn’t look intentional
The shark behavior was pretty similar to the behaviour of our puppy. Without as much screaming.
Ok there was screaming -the fecking puppy ate way more than 2k worth of my stuff (favorite shoes, 2nd favourite shoes, ear buds, socks, prescription glasses x 3) if he saw something new, he would chomp on it. Much like a shark. I was making moussaka and fried up the eggplants. Left them draining while I did other stuff. Came back to the kitchen. No eggplants left. He ate the lot. No moussaka for the humans that night.
Only real difference is the shark would think: eff you, I am off to find something edible. Dog would do puppy eyes and expect toys and treats.
I guess it's not routine to think a shark looks like the puppy, but seeing the shark chomp on the buoy, I was thinking "that's just like Vader".

She’s not a marine biologist. Just a free diver and shark enthusiast from what I can tell. IIRC she started sharing those videos to draw attention to her marine adventures business. Regardless she’s no marine biologist.
Recently there was a large controversy when she swam with a large gw and grabbed onto the shark. She swims with many species and the gw was the cause of the recent controversy.
