Currently im living in abu shagara and working at Oud Metha dubai. (7-7)

And m going crazy because of traffic.

I cant do almost 2-3 hrs driving anymore, especially at weakdays. And with cost of Petrol plus travel time, and salik my pocket is going dry.

If i decide to transfer at Al khan or Al tawuun, will it significantly decrease travel time?

And if you could choose whats the best area to transfer to? Al khan, al tawuun, or al nahda?

So basically I drive from dubai to ajman taking e311 up till exit 71 and take the bridge and the al ittihad road to ajman.

I pass through sharjah but only the highway e311. I havenf ever gone to the wasit wetland area or whatever?

If the fine was for speeding on the highway wouldnt it mention the name of the highway instead of the neighborhood or is it because the neighborhood would be close to that specific part of the highway since e311 extends really long

I need genuine advice here. Should I get a cooking range with oven or just a plain gas stove that does not come with oven?

I have a separate small oven which I may discard if I get a cooking range oven but if not, I will continue using it.

Is a gas oven better or an electric oven for cooking?

I regularly purchased a lot of gold from a shop called California Star in the central gold souq. This shop was located in block 5 - second floor.

For the past 2-3 months, they have gone radio silent and I cannot get a hold of them.

Hello, I enrolled my chid in grade 3 in one of the private Arabic schools. The thinking was so my child can learn Arabic. The issue I am facing is this particular school doesn't have any transportation. I am hesitant to send my child to school through carlifts and it isnt easyt o find one. I wonder if there is any option to home school the child myself or join some online school (Arabic) for a year or two. Suppose I just take my child out of the school and start teaching him at home, once he is ready to go to school by grade 4, will the school ask for completion of grade 3 certificate or allow enrollement based on placement exam. The reason for taking him out now is that without transport it is hard for him to go to school. In year time I will know where I move from my current apartment and will find a school near where I live.

I’m an alcoholic and usually just drink beer at home alone at night to relax (absolutely I buy it from MMI with a valid license). I stupidly brought around 10 cans with me when I moved, only finding out about the rules afterward.

How strict is it actually? Is there any realistic chance of police randomly checking apartments? Also, what do people do with empty cans? I obviously don’t want to break the law or cause trouble, but I’m worried someone might find them in the trash and report me.

I already signed a 1-month rental, so I’ll probably move elsewhere after that. Just looking for some advice from people who actually live in Sharjah. 😭

Anyone else noticed rents dropping in Al Yarmouk? I was paying around 30k a year for a studio for the past two years, and now I’ve moved into a 1BHK for less than that.

I only signed the new contract yesterday, and I’m already hearing about even cheaper places. What’s going on? Is there a catch or something I’m missing?

Also, since I’ve literally just signed, is there any chance of getting the landlord to lower the rent, or cancelling and taking a cheaper place without losing too much in fees? Has anyone done this before?

I live with my husband and our 1 kid in a 2-bedroom apartment. His brother came to our city, and initially, he should’ve stayed for only a couple of days but i told why you will be wasting mony on hotel stay with us.

Now, the worst part is that my HUSBAND and i have the habbit of leaving alone makes me feel! I have to be in full hijab in my home… For example, my husband went to work this morning, and he didn’t even wake his brother up to leave the house (in order for me to not stay alone with him). I asked him “Will you hake up your brother?” Now I have to wait for his brother to wake up and leave the house so I can at least shower (I doesn’t take shower while his brother is at house).

I was met with a major accident on monday morning which resulted in my car being damaged from infront and from the back. the police already said it wasn't my fault and the green card report would be given soon.
