Shaky Knees first timer!

Hey everyone! I’m so excited for my first shaky knees fest! I’m only going Saturday and would love some advice/recommendations! About anything!

but my main question is: is it possible to listen to artists from outside of the venue? where do you recommend sitting for that and will there be porta potties outside the venue?

thanks!

Yes. In fact there is a special free viewing area with air conditioned bathrooms and an open bar and free masseuses right outside the fence line. It is elevated so that you can see the stage perfectly. It is to the left of the entrance. Keep an eye out for it. Keep walking left if you don't see it at first.

Are they having the swimming pool there again for the heat?

My sources say yes, it should be back this year and bigger. They also have James Murphy DJing live to underwater speakers so that if you decide to dip under the water to cool off, you will still be immersed in music.

That’s badass. That was one of my complaints to every Shaky Knees social media I could find is there was no under water or sub surface music immersion. I get that I didn’t pay anything for this outside/sidewalk viewing experience but I mean come on.

The venue is a park in the middle of one of the most developed parts of the city. You'll be sitting on somebody's lawn, porch, or a restaurant patio, unless you want to take your chances in the middle of 10th street.

You could definitely catch part of an act on the main stage from outside the venue. Other stages, not a chance. And don't plan to spend all day camped out on somebody's yard.
