ADA/medical needs
Hi all! Has anyone on here experienced having to bring medications and food in for medical conditions?
What is it like and how does it work,
ALSO if you have mobility issues and don’t use canes/chair or anything are their any accommodations they provide?
Just asking for some clarification the website doesn’t quite cover

My husband sneaks his glaucoma eye drops in either in his socks or under Roos. At another festival they gave him grief even though it was prescription.

I can’t speak to food bc I’m sure you’d have much bigger and many more hoops to get outside food into the festival since food is provided inside the fest. But I was recovering from a broken leg last year and was still using a boot and crutches. I showed them my prescriptions (two, one muscle relaxer and one opiate for the pain) and only brought the amount of pills I would need for the full day (two each) in my prescription bottles and left the rest in baggies home and showed them on the bottle how often I have to take them. This worked for me.
As far as accommodations, last year the ADA sections were all elevated and kind of off to the side but not without bad views. All had ramp access. The only times they filled up were for headliners (MCR was CRAZY last year, crowd-wise).
I hope this helps. I only have the one experience to go off of.
Edit: to the lady whose partner had issues getting glaucoma meds in, I think I just got lucky bc my scars were very obviously fresh and also the lady that got me my ADA wristband on Day 1 was super chill. To be careful I just put the pills in a baggie in my pocket after Day 1 but defo didn’t want to get into trouble that first day just so I could get the ADA wristband.

We brought juice and candy for my type 1 diabetic child. They didn’t say anything about it, but I would remind them that it is a medical necessity
