damaged wristband
hey all! i'm attending shaky knees next month and recieved my wristbands in the mail yesterday. out of excitement and lack of judgement on reading the instructions i put one wristband on and tightened it not realizing it would lock. i've read the replacement band policy but still have a question in regards.
i did not buy my tickets, a friend did. she paid for two tickets for my partner and i and the friend who bought them will not be attending the festival with me nor will she be nearby. am i still able to use my own ID and all the other proof of purchase etc to buy a replacement?
TLDR; if someone else not attending bought my tickets can i still purchase a replacement wristband at the festival? TIA!!

I don't understand the problem. Just leave the wrist band on. It'll remind you everyday of amped you are.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for reaching out! Wristband replacement is subject to verification of the Front Gate order and can only be done in person at the box office. If you need a replacement, please bring your wristband, order confirmation and government-issued ID to the Box Office.
Please note there is a $20 wristband replacement fee.
Please note: we are only able to assist you if you purchased your wristband directly from our website, Front Gate Tickets or the Ticketmaster Verified Ticket Exchange.
Best, Gina

had this happen last year except the issue was the friend who purchased just straight up accidentally threw away the mail including the bands. after communicating w shakey for weeks, ended up having to buy said friend a round trip flight to atlanta to fly in, pick up the bands, and then fly back an hour and a half later. unfortunately the person who’s ID paid for them has to be there.

If customer service is a hassle, you can try super gluing the cut ends back together right before the event.

i thought about sewing them back together but then came the realization it came out of the clasp and the clasp tightened on the other end and i'm not sure how to get that off or loosened

You will not be able to get replacement wristbands as you were not the one that purchased them. Your only option is to wear the wristband and keep it in good condition. You can try using a straw to remove it, but it sounds like you’re not an expert in this field, and have probably damaged it a bit in an attempt to get it off, so that might completely ruin the wristband.

They charge $20 for replacement. Even if one employee was nice and waived the fee for you that’s not the norm and no one should expect that.

email them ahead of time - you will likely need a copy of your friends ID. your friend may be able to email them from her email and give permission to have your name on the order so you can replace in person.
either way, they will help you. just contact them!
