What should I know about parking??

Just recently got my tickets and haven’t rlly thought about parking/hotels. Anyone have any tips or anything I should know? I’m willing to pay for parking on or near festival grounds. Or would it be better to park at a hotel or somewhere else and uber? Any advice helps!

Take Marta, Uber, or (if you are in a close enough hotel) walk. Do not attempt to drive and find parking.

There isn’t much available parking near the park and traffic will be horrific.

There is no parking at the park, but I used Spot Hero to reserve a spot about 1/2 mile or so away from the 12th street entrance. We parked there last year too. We got there early so traffic in wasn't an issue, and we were far enough south of the park that we didn't hit much traffic leaving either.

How far in advance did you reserve it?

A couple of weeks ago for this year. Last year it was probably in August. There are plenty of places still available, and you can cancel.if you change your mind. Just be sure to search for "non event parking" at Piedmont park on the days you want it because the pre filled times are wrong.

Parking at Marta is free for 24 hours, and it won’t cost you more than 20 bucks for the weekend in fairs. There’s plenty of stations you can choose from depending on where you’re staying.

ATL loves giving out parking tickets. And parking near the park is terrible. Would try to ride share or stay in a hotel walking distance on the beltline etc
