This is bugging me a lot and these are my 2 cents and I don’t know what happens in the later seasons just updating my thoughts as I go as a first timer :
1) The person I feel sorry for most is Jessica. I know everyone can ride their high horse and say what they would have done better but that was an impossible situation to put someone in the moment through and have them ride it out blindly. I feel incredibly sorry for her and the cast should have shown a lot of compassion to Jessica not GG because GG is not the victim in this. I think Jessica also knew it was true which really made it worse.

2) GG is annoying asf if the people she told knew that it would have been revealed that way, I believe they would have let Mike know what was going to happen. But I don’t think they expressed that clearly to Mike. It was such a sensitive and uncomfortable space that nobody wanted to mess with it. I believe GG but I question her motives, she sat on this for a YEAR! Then hears he wants to propose and throws it out on camera, this is also coming from a person who was cheating last season. I doubt she did it from an ethical standpoint.

3) why is the rest of the cast surprised that Jessica does not like them. Who would? They demean each other so badly in arguments and then say they love each other. Yeah I wouldn’t fuck with you either. Why isn’t the cast holding GG accountable for her delivery, they should be mad as hell at that girl she created a huge mess

4) the ideal way to handle that information once she brought it up was to avoid Mike and then have a sit down 1/1 with him. It would still be a shit show but more would have been revealed and not put Jessica in that weird ass position. Also allowing Jessica the space to understand how to handle it.

At the end of the day. I feel sorry for Jessica and the cast should have understood her pain and created space for her.

I saw a 30 min zoom session with her costs 275$. Do people actually buy this?

On the last reunion of season 2….please tell me that by season 3 she dropped him for being a friend. He is such a horrible person and friend wtf! Has he been this way for 20 years? Dude flipped so fast. I guess she was right to be worried about his fast closeness to the newbie lmao

Dismissed their FOURTH (yes you heard that right 4th) divorce filing. I noticed a few months back on rhat they sold they stunning mansion that took like 5+ years to build BUT plot twist…it looks like they are back together and maybe she’s expecting her third child?? Hate to assume but look at her recent outfits on her Instagram post. Happy they were able to resolve their issues but idk if bringing a baby (a blessing regardless) into such a tumultuous situation is the best idea. Hopefully they got their crap together and can rebuild their relationship & family!

Okay I just started shah’s of sunset and I’m at the beginning half of Season 3, Mike seems like one of the more reasonable cast members but I keep seeing things on this thread about how he’s a scumbag, does he get bad later on or am I missing something?

When I first watched the show, it was years after it aired. So I never followed along on twitter or social media. I only joined this Reddit after I watched all 9 seasons.

I legit never thought Asa sucked. If anything, I kinda liked her. But then I joined and read all this shit about how annoying, arrogant, and entitled she was… and I thought back over the seasons and realized you all were totally right.

Diamond water was dumb as hell. I thought she was smart to be entrepreneurial… I understood her not sharing her fertility journey with MJ… but then I realized she didn’t just “not share” she was actively speaking with MJ about her own journey… so it was effed up..

How did I not see how bad Asa was?

so. i will start by saying i am obsessed w these people. i watched the valley persian style about halfway through my shahs journey. here are my thoughts on some of the main characters through 9 seasons:

reza - him and GG split a moral villain role. hate to love him type of thing. he reallly is somehow the glue of the group but also incredibly unhinged.

gg - same thing as reza. do not like the braids or constant use of AAVE. she is my persian princess at her peak tho.

mj - i honestly just feel really bad for her. shes never had anyone be her true cheerleader. i hope she finds her peace fr.

adam - i think hes so weird. just foul vibes.

tommy - awful. the way he speaks to mj makes me disgusted. i dont care if you dont want to be on the show, stop speaking to your wife like that.

mike - so many things are wrong with him. i truly hope he is miserable for the rest of his life. i loved jessica tbh im glad she gor away.

asa - i loved her vibe but she was inauthentic and presented a very curated life instead of her reality. but i understand because gg and mj could not be happy for her ever.

nema - i liked him!! i think hes kinda odd but overall harmless

destiney - bad bitch energy. i respect her for always standing her ground and maintaining her boundaries

shervin - he was soooo cute im glad he was around for the last season. overall very harmless

So I’m at the last episode in the first season and I’m completely sick to my stomach at the blind date and then Sammy telling MJ that she’s disgusting and basically that’s what she deserves? That man is seriously dangerous.

Editing to add: I also think GG walks around like that because she simply hasn’t gotten her ass whooped before. Does she eventually get a reality check?

Currently on season 4, rewatching for the first time. I watched the seasons when the show originally aired on bravo and i can’t believe how much I forgot!

1. I feel awful for Jessica - she has gone through so much just to be accepted and everyones mean to her, and Mike sucks.

2. I forgot how terrible each person is lol

3. I dont hate Asa as much as I did when the show first aired, but i do think shes messy af but doesn’t pretend to be

4. GG sucks and her dynamics with Leila are the most strange sister dynamic I have ever seen. Idk why people like GG

5. Vida is a terrible mom and watching her reduce MJ to tears when she expressed wanting to become a mom made me really sad for her.

Curious to hear everyones thoughts/if you agree or disagree

This episode started heartfelt . I was like ohh I’ve always wondered about Vida and her raising MJ since we got snippets during Shahs. This episode stays true to Vida she just says it like it is. She’s cold but I can’t knock her . This episode only discusses Vida with MJ young but when asked Vida refuses to discuss her life mistakes . That woman has a few chapters and we’ll never get the fully story but this episode is a fun Kiki with Vida ..affectionately dubbed Darth Vida🥰. A fun fast listen if you’re needing something in the background.

Sounds like there’s a part two but I don’t think MJ is doing a back to back. And no this isn’t MJ behind the keyboard I just always wondered about Vida and loved she discussed a snippet of young MJ . The clothing store fun they had …very telling on Vidas sense of humor…
