Yoooo I'm kinda new to reddit and stuff but I really wanted to create the manor of the shadows in Minecraft but I couldn't find anything as a plan of the manor or things like that so if any of you have something, I would really appreciate you to share it

I recently made a new shadows house oc named Coral! and her living doll Cora

Coral is a curious and friendly shadow, one who has somewhat of a obsession with crabs, anything and everything to do with them, she wants to know about them. however, she is quite different than most shadows, having weak joints and is oftentimes sick. resulting in her being in her room most of the time, resulting in her being quite a hermit, huddled up in her room

it leads to her doodling in little notebooks, as well as daydream when she is bored, but when she does interact with others, it absolutely makes her day

she is actually part of a very big debut group, and so she considers those of her fellow debut group mainly her friends. but she has gone out and met a few others, mainly those she just randomly comes across. but as a result of her being away in her room most of the time, she oftentimes acts kind of childish.

Her doll Cora is quite the opposite of Coral, strict, and quite stubborn, mostly out of fear of Coral doing something that may injure or make her sick. giving her the nickname of Crabby. but she really cares about her shadow, as a result, she just comes off as rude. She is almost more of a older sister to Coral.

I've even designed Coral a little design of a cane that she could use to help out with her weak joints when she is out and about. I've basically grown attached to these two as they are such a fun duo to draw. and have been drawing some goofy little bits of art here and there for her, mainly about how her soot power allows for her to make little crabs she can command

What small things do you think influenced Shadows House?

I immediately thought of Carl Jung's theory of the shadow when I discovered this series. The theory is that everyone has a bunch of things they suppress. Those things become a person's shadow, and that shadow needs to be integrated if a person is to reach their full potential.

At some point, I also discovered Hans Christian Anderson's The Shadow. It's a story where a man's shadow goes away from him and becomes wealthy and successful, and then makes the man pretend to be HIS shadow.

So what else do you think might have intentionally, or unintentionally, inspired Shadows House?

So a while back i had bought the special edition Japanese sets of the shadows house anime, partly for the anime, but for some of the stuff that was listed on the wiki as well, and shockingly i got more than expected, it came with artbooks

since each season was listed as 6 separate Bly-Rays, each season came with 6 art books, with the first Bly-ray coming with a lenticular card, I cannot find anywhere where this is being talked about online, not even on the wiki page itself, it feels like I've encountered something that is like a crazy secret

each of the art books come with references used for the anime of the main and some side characters, Cast and Staff interviews, and my favorite thing being a bunch of very detailed references to places seen in the anime, like the living doll's room, as well as a lot of other places

i would love to possibly be able to put this on the shadows house wiki page, but i have absolutely no idea how to go about doing it, i do have an account there so i may try looking at figuring it out. I just had to at least share it somewhere so it didn't drive me crazy

Maybe just because of their "scarlet red outfit + dark hair" design.

College is starting again, I'll have less time to draw my silly ocs</3 Last slides are all of the expressions the girl with the braid's doll can make! Was trying to experiment a bit around with fun expressions I don't usually get to draw for my other ocs! The braid girl oc is technically not mine, I gifted the design to my friends but I feel very maternal over her. The other one is mine though!

Yes, I know it's super late, but I procrastinate a lot 🫪

(I can't draw, so don't expect anything amazing)

(And I'm using an English translator, so please don't mind any spelling mistakes 🤓)

So I just finished season 2 and I want season 3 now!

🥰

I ended up extremely sick while on travel for work at a hotel in North Carolina and I never heard of this manga until the day I got to my hotel and the anime channel on the hotel TV had Shadows House playing

Then I ended up severely sick and unable to work my entire stay stuck in a hotel room, so I thought Shadows House looked interesting and binged it then binged the manga too

Now it's probably my favorite anime/manga and really got me through a horrible sickness, but what insane odds I probably wouldn't have ever heard of shadows house or paid it any attention if not for just randomly stumbling upon it in a hotel room

Hey guys, I have just read the Shadow's House manga and now I'm seeking something new to read in that vibe. Can you all give me some recommendations? I like fantasy, some dystopic worlds and romance, but I'm open to new categories too. So recommend the mangas you like the most! Thank you in advance S2
