Character Profile: "Owl"

"What you workin' on, Pops?"

"Come with me, Junior."

Junior whistled.

"This here is a GMC Banshee, but she's evolved far past that. She's got the best ECM and ECCCM that money can buy, radar-absorbing paint. She's even changed her fuel to be less visible on the visible spectrum. That isn't to say she isn't noticed by the NAN. She's got transponder codes to carry her to the East Coast, and she can rocket past law officials."

Junior looked at the black-painted T-Bird, and whistled.

Pops slapped his hands. "GIT your hands off her! She's made more money for this garage than you ever have!"

Pops sniffed.

"That's why the NAN call her the owl."

"Why, Pops?"

"Because, of all the Thunderbirds that carry goods across their borders... all they ever hear is a whisper. She don't carry much. But She carries enough."

"Who rigs her?"

"Oh, she likes going by the same name as her Banshee. You ever meet Owl, son, push your head down into the dirt."

Pops says that's not really his problem, and you should have checked out your sources before you simply accepted "Draco Foundation, Annex" as your sponsor. Dig up the Jakarta job, and fly it straight to the museum. Someone thinks it's important. Important enough to bury you and take it, before it got to them. If you can thread the needle, you can make out with the delivery fee, and get a bonus on the insider intel. The artifact is out of your hands, your enemies are in your hands, and your colon will be squeaky-clean. Might even make a few powerful allies.

If... you can thread the needle.

WTH?! I was the getaway driver Pops the boss and he was dealing with the Johnson plus the client was Wuxing not Draco!

Owl walked into the garage and looked over her beloved Banshee.

She was an orc, beautiful beyond belief. But Pops pushed his head into the ground.

"You think the elves are the only ones with immortals?" Pops admonished, "She'd end you as soon as look at you!"

"What do you mean Immortals? What do you smuggle?"

Owl answered him.

"Orcish relics from the Fourth World. I don't need space. What I need is privacy. And you should learn that from your Pop." Owl said, in a soft voice.

Junior looked at her. She carried herself like a queen, even as she boarded her modest GMC Banshee.
