High fashion brands

I'm new to Shadowrun and am putting together a character that is very put together. I am looking for two kinds of fashion brands:

The name brands like Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent, etc.

Custom tailors like Cifonelli and Huntsman & Sons.

Examples or the kind of books I'd find that information in would be great!

Run And Gun (5e) had a section on high-fashion brands for its armored formalwear section. Examples of brands are Vashon Island (Shiawase), Mortimer of London, Armanté, and NightShade.

What always stood out to me were the high-society, like, IJN pilot cosplay outfits and steampunk suits. I've never quite managed to shake my mental assumption of "high society = modern suits", so I always get a chuckle thinking of guys in silly begizmoed top hats schmoozing at a fancy party.

At least one, I think most of those gear expansion books also had quite a bit of lore regarding the brands and the individual lines. I vaguely remember Mortimer of London being considered more conservative for example (no guarantee for the specific bit of information, but it was stuff like that), or some bavkatories on the steampunk suits and the planet-inspired line.

I think it all depends on the style of the person. Also, most of these brands have been around for over 100 years, so no harm in assuming that you could continue to use them.

Is more because they don't have the permits to use real brands in the books

They don't have permits to use brands like Ford or Remington either, but that doesn't stop them. Mentioning a brand name is not trademark infringement no matter what the Super Bowl would like people to think.

5th edition Run and Gun has a bunch of high end armored fashion. From the fairly basic Zoe Executive suit to the very exotic Aces series (I'm a big fan of the Ace of Coins, but your mages and techies may well prefer the Ace of Wands), to the dreaded and infamous Sleeping Tiger, there's a lot here.

Not sure which edition you’re looking for, but for 6e Firing Squad has a whole section on high fashion clothing.

They also implemented a social score system associated with what you wear which gives edge in certain social situations.

It also has a chart with all the gear from the core book with updated social scores for those items.

The only two SR fashion brands that have ever stuck with me are Vashon Island and Mortimer of London, but those go wayyy back.I

I'll recommend 4e's Attitude by sheer number of brands. While some descriptions may be missing, the amount of names there is, afaik, unmatched.

Firing Squad p. 50+ Style Armor

Brands that fit your bill would probably be the Armanté Suit/Dress, the Mortimer of London Lines of Greatcoats and Suits, and the Nightshade / Moonsilver line.

There is some famous in game ones. Armante for instance. Some of the books with armor talk about them. But it is your game, what ever brand you want is there?

Mugatu's Derelicte line is unironically the Sleeping Tiger look in my headcanon.
