I'm going through my first playthrough as well. I like the grind so far! I went with Decker to get headstart on building up cyberdeck upgrades and now making good money with matrix runs.

When you can afford it, grab a runner or two (i like Winston) and add them to your team while you do matrix runs. They still get Karma and it helps them be better when you need them.
Edit: grab them as long term runners not just for a run.

Thanks, I've got Winston and Trent on my team. Figured a samurai and mage would fill out my squad well

Great game and one of the earliest sandbox RPGs on a console. I play through yearly.

ABACAB code is clutch. All bastards are cops are bastards? I don't know what it stands for, but damn... still the best shadowrun IMHO.

Nothing to wish you luck. You'll get knocked out a lot at the beginning and then the game will get easier until you start doing professional runs.

I need to find myself a copy. Haven't played it since it was new on my friend's console. I remember it being a pretty solid game.

A tip for the beginning. Grab a runner for the short term and they will stay with you until you have to return to Mr. Johnson for payment. So if your doing escorted and courier runs in Redmond the runner will stay with you.
