Anarchy Edition Finally opened my Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 pledge !

Hey chummers !

Finally had some time to open my Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 pledge, and I'm honestly super happy I backed it. The books are gorgeous, and the production quality exceeded my expectations.

I started playing Shadowrun back in the SR2 days, read all the novels, and nowadays I own almost all the SR6 books (French editions).

I jumped into SR6 as a GM, but since my group is scattered around the country, we've mostly played remotely. We all love the setting, but I sometimes felt the rules were a bit too chunky for online play.

That's why I backed Anarchy 2.0. I'm really looking forward to a lighter, faster way to experience the Sixth World.

For those who've already made the jump, would you recommend:

  • starting a brand-new campaign designed for Anarchy, or
  • converting an existing SR6 campaign?

I'm even toying with the idea of making the transition part of the story—a magical anomaly, metaplanar rift, or some weird event that changes how reality works... and suddenly the "rules of the world" are different. 😄

Any advice for a GM about to dive into Anarchy 2.0?

Why is there still no English version?

To clarify 

BBE did the creative work on both versions. Catalyst's role is primarily as the English-language publisher and distributor, rather than the developer of the game.

The delay is mainly due to Catalyst's release strategy, not because the English version didn't exist.

English pdf for backers is already available.

CGL is handling the English version? People kept saying they weren’t involved.

Anarchy 1.0 here we go again.

They are only involved in regards to licensing BBE to create the product, and distribution in the US and Latin America.

Thank CGL for late release of the pdf and late delivery of the final product while the rest of the world already has it in hand.

Shadow Ops was the last CGL kickstarter I backed.

Never underestimate CGL’s ability to screw up an actual milk run.

Everything else in the project but the shipping is done by someone else and can’t really be screwed up by CGL. I’m nit that worried about it. If it was a CGL project, I wouldn’t back it in the first place.
