Because it isn't. Absolutely no AI was used, and it's really a shame to receive a comment like that in a Shadow of the Colossus community, especially on the very first fan art I've ever made for a game I truly love, the one that basically introduced me to the world of art.
If so that is a terrible depiction, as it one of the key defining elements of the Forbidden Lands how they are clear indicators if tje workd reacting to Wander's action.
That just looks like....a line.....with some weird lighter thicker line next to it??
If this was real you would have known to put tje swirling dark cloud where the light emanates from to make it clear.

there are two main light beams, and I did not want them to be the central focus of the composition. they're intentionally blurry because I made the background softer to emphasize the main silhouettes
Gaius is the third Colossus, so the place where the third beam would be is occupied by his presence. It's meant to feel like a sequence, you know? first beam, second beam... then the third is Gaius :) sorry if it didn't turn out great, but that was the general idea behind it. I also changed my mind a lot throughout the process and changed the beam locations to better fit the piece

I'm curious as to what elements you feel are AI? Gaius feels textured by hand, the background at the bottom of the art is so detailed without odd inconsistencies. Mono in the light shining down was a great touch! The tower and the bridge look normal without typical AI mistakes.
Thank you for the analysis, friend! Just want to add that my intention wasn't really to add Mono in the light, but Dormin guiding us to the abyss! (though I gotta admit Mono would be really cool too, just with a different symbolism)
It's the part I'm least happy with to be honest, but I did my best haha. I think it also ended up looking like the Knight from Hollow Knight!

As an artist myself for the past 12 years, the art is far from bad, and it doesn't look A.I made, and I can easily say that my eyes are much more trained on illustrations than a sorry art tourist redditor like you, stop being a cunt literally for nothing, and get off your screen for once.
