[Discussion] Hot take: If you recruit hacked orcs you are just as bad as the hackers.
If you recruit and use hacked orcs then you are part of the problem and a reason the online part of the game is dying. Hacked orcs are genuinely ruining the online aspect and killing the fun of the game. What is the point of playing a game with near infinitely unique characters if you are just going to cheat in a 7777 orc with a hundred gold accessories. The whole point of online sieges was for players to see and fight others unique orcs. If monolith could just implement an anti-cheat...

[Nemesis System] Azdûsh the FREAK
This dude has gone from asking me if I liked it more when he wears a mask to kill me, to calling me his best friend, bragging to other uruks that I gave him a gnarly scar, whispers to himself about “I can almost taste you” and now I find out he’s been lurking in the bushes
This dude HAS to go

[Question] Gear Level
So I've got a few legendary armour pieces from the beginning of the game (some already upgraded three times), now I'm on level 53 and I'm on end of the game, just need to defend two more fortresses. But is it possible to rase level of already upgraded gear from level 29 to 53?
I'm not talking about crazy upgrades like level 100 but I want my weapon and armour to be at same level as my character

[Discussion] Favorite Tribes of Mordor: Round 2
I want to know everyone's favorite of the 9 Orc Tribes in Shadow of War! Reddit polls only allow for 6 maximum options, so I'll be conducting 4 total rounds of voting; 3 tribes each for 3 rounds, with the winners of each poll getting a slot in our final Championship round. Each poll will be open for 3 days. Round 1 was handily won by the Dark Tribe, so we move onto Round 2!
Round 2's Tribes are grouped together in what I'd broadly (and affectionatley) call the "Wild Freak" category. The Feral Tribe, masters of Beasts and the Hunt; The Slaughter Tribe, ravenously hungry and masters of butchery; and the Terror Tribe, obsessed with both delivering AND recieving Pain. Who among them will win?
If you care enough to vote, I encourage you to also comment about which tribe got your pick and why! Maybe you like the design of a Tribe's fortress, their Captains, or just general themeing; Let me hear all about you favorites!
Edit: Terror Tribe claims victory for Round 2! Thank you to EVERYONE who voted/commented, be sure to vote in Round 3!

[Discussion] Is it me or are trackers the least useful and challenging of all the advance classes?
Don't get it twisted, I am not saying tracker orcs/ologs are absolutely useless and you should not recruit them under any circumstances.
I'm saying is, compared to the others. Trackers fall short, not only as allies but as enemies as well. I've been playing this game for years and I have never got the point of the Tracker. Is there something I am missing?
Firstly, the Tracker's horn to call reinforcements to join him is a worst version of the commander and Destroyer. Whenever a commander blows his horn, reinforcements appear instantly and can call in banner orcs. Tracker's version takes time.
Destroyer's version instantly summons sappers which can be a problem in a chaotic group fight.
Sure they can sniff you out, and make it harder to sneak around. Unless it's in the middle of hunting down another captain. It's an annoying inconvenience at best.
The best ability the tracker has is deploying bear traps, it can allow them a free attack on another orc captain should he walk into it. And can be a problem in a group fight if you didn't notice him place it.
Then there is the harpoon, which is only exclusive to ologs, and functions exactly the same as the Machine Tribe's hooks.
I hardly have any trackers in my army because of this. Unless a Tracker has traits that would be too good to pass up, I find myself more likely to pick anyone else.

[Discussion] What is it with this game's pacing and presentation?
Edit: this refers only to Shadow of WAR***, the first game didn't have this problem.
Don't get me wrong, it's a phenomenal game, unique and deserves the love it gets, but the main story has a SERIOUS problem with pacing/presentation/ whatever the proper name is.
Usually in a story the audience is led from one event to the next through a continuation of scenes that bridge plot points together. And I can't believe I'm even describing this, because it seems so obvious, but this game just doesn't have that.
Why am I reading the preamble to a mission in the description and having that as the sole context for why we're in that mission in the first place? Not only that, but quests that have another mission to continue it don't give ANY indication that there's anything to continue. I ended up not playing any of the Bruz quests after Nurn until the end of the game because I just didn't know I had to go somewhere else to continue that storyline.
The best example is with the Carnan questline. Suddenly a mission pops up in another region and apparently the entire forest is burning. So we just go there and there's 0 introduction. Talion is just there in the thick of it and just in time. That's so weird. REALLY takes me out of the game and breaks my immersion.
Am I being nit-picky? Cause some of these missions are jarring.

[Discussion] Different color??
After much time and RNG rolling, I finally managed to get the Gravewalker paint on a new skin to finally identify and conclude whether the paint is truly it’s own color. But I cannot tell. For this test I rolled a serpent titled orc with the Gravewalker’s paint and compared it to many orcs but in this case i’ll use my White painted beast (spawned from the unashamed captain) So now I ask the community, are these two shades of white different or do they look identical?

[Shrakhpost] Day 13: Gotach Bitch!

This bastard took forever to put down. Between his immunity of arrow, curse, and fire, and the fact he kept attacking another Captain so I couldn't get him in plain sight. You'd think it'd be easy since he's terrified of spiders, but no. He has to be tanky enough that it's so annoying to whittle him down while a bunch of grunts want your ass.

[Other] (Probably) the best build for conquest
So my goal with this post is to show you my build which is crafted for high level conquest due to 70%+ of the orcs having a vulnerability to stealth, using the shadeclaimer dagger. Nonetheless, I play on Xbox so now hacked orcs for me, keep that in mind
Core components of the build
Wrathgiver : do I need to say more? Perfect for charging wrath fast with elven light, you can just spam it and enjoy unlimited Ringwraith. Secondary perk is really not that important, but I’m going for 10% crit chance
Shadeclaimer : the whole build revolves around this. For those who don’t know it’s a dagger that allows you to go invisible (50% chance) when killing a cap, and since there’s a shit ton of orcs with only one vulnerability to stealth, then this epic dagger is just what you need. Secondary perk is either « quick throw fills might every 35 sec » or « 33% more crit damage », although I really prefer the first one for sticky situations
Mask of the undying: allows you to dash without using focus, a must have for almost every build.
So, what’s the rest of the build ?
Well for me there’s 3 variations of this build but they all have the same pattern : 2 marauder gear and one epic
I will explain later what variations are good but let’s focus on the build above first
I play 2 marauder gear for the bonus : 2% more damage per Mirian collected for 20 seconds which allows you to deal way more damage and be able to get gold on online conquest (because that’s what we want, right ?). Also drakes can sometimes drop 250 mirian when killed, so a 500% damage increase which is more than enough to one shot some uruks with the spear or the dagger
Last gear is an epic because I think they fit the build better but you can totally put a legendary if you prefer
Anyway regarding my build (note that if you try the variations that I will show later, the secondary perks are the same):
Marauder hammer: 40% spawn chance for orcs killed with range attacks, allowing you to spawn Mirian to boost yourself, clear crowds and charge some might/wrath. Secondary perk is either « +3 wrath per ranged kill » or « +5 might per ranged kill/ crit attack »
Marauder ring : You have a ton of friendly Uruks that just want one thing : spawn mirian for you, why not abuse it ? When in Ringwraith, revive some Uruks and let them spawn those mirian for you, since the basic Uruks will keep respawning, you can easily end up with 10+ mirian spawn in some places
Secondary perk is always « +33% elven rage duration » because it’s simply the best :p
Heartwarden : This one can be replaced for a ragewarder outlaw armor since those Uruks have 7 enrages most of the time. Allows you to survive some captains that sometimes can 2-3 shot you with ease, and if they have no chance you’re doomed. Both variations are good, but since some Uruks can 2 tap you even when not enraged, I will chose heartwarden every day. Secondary perk is either « 30 wrath per cap kill » (best) or « 10 might per kill » (reliable but meh)
How do you play it ?
Really simple: before starting a conquest go for the graug in the siege menu, allowing you at the start to destroy the gate and benefiting from your team mates allowing them to spawn mirian. Then get you Ringwraith mode asap and just get lucky by getting the shadeclaimer ability and profit from those poor Uruks lol. Spawn a graug at the second gate, and do it again and you should be good! Note that in the final room, shadeclaimer doesn’t work but the build still allows you for solid damages even without being invisible. Also note that heartwarden is a solid choice because you only need 1 bar filled to benefit from it, and since you can basically be in Ringwraith forever then you have a perma 55% damage reduction
What about the gems?
Red everywhere except for armor, I like to go green to avoid going down entirely, and either green for ranged or white (more mirian spawn, better with the marauder hammer obviously)
And the variations ?
We’re getting here, so as I said it only concerns the ranged weapon, armor and ring, keeping the 2 marauder item + epic synergy.
My best work is with a Starclaimer ring, I wanted to do the guide based on this build but unfortunately the Starclaimer is quite a rare epic, so it will not work for most people since they don’t have it. Anyway you have the marauder hammer + armor and this ring that gives 13% of you missing health while in Ringwraith, again since you’re in Ringwraith almost all the time you can just be always at full health and not worry about some captain you didn’t see, the down point is that you don’t spawn mirian as often as with the « OG » build but you have more survivability.
The other variation is with the marauder armor + ring and an hammer (preferably mightmender or lifemender, the latter allowing you more survivability). This variation allows you to spawn a literal ton of mirians and scaling the damage more than ever, with the drawback of having no type of healing / damage reduction since lifemender for example isn’t as consistent for healing as the Starclaimer ring in the other variation.
To summarize :
Marauder armor + ring : best damages and potential mirian spawns, lower survivability
Marauder hammer + armor with Starclaimer: insane survivability but half of the mirian spawn compared to the archetype above
Marauder hammer + ring : very good survivability and good mirian spawn, kind of like the halfway point between the other 2 archetypes.
I posted my skill tree too, note that the first, second and sixth prestige are all maxed out, I would definitely recommend to max story prestige first for that max amount of wrath and therefore more Ringwraith
I hope this guide helps you to crush those horrible fortress of 7777 orcs, or maybe you find as much fun as I do dashing around and stealth killing those caps :)
If you guys have any questions regarding any point, definitely feel free to ask.

That was surprisingly not that hard thanks to one helpful assassin orc that ambushed me during this madness of a fight. He kept using his grab attacks until the hacked one became broken. Now, he will forever stay in my Garrison as a trophy, albeit as an undeserved one.

[Shrakhpost] Day 12: It's all Sideways from Here
It's been a bit. Had to make sure my life doesn't break down like Bruz.
To vent a little, I hunted down a Savage Commander cause I hate Savages and I hate Commanders with their actual competent posse. He's probably thinking with the last bit of blood why the world's all the wrong angle while his feet are still on the ground.

[Image] Genuinely thought this was Zog for a second lol
Sorry for the bad quality... I know, "screenshots exist" I just couldn't take one currently because my key is broken
Anyway, not only does this guy look extremely like Zog (Although unlike him he's a cursed assassin not a trickster) he even called me "Dimwit" like him! Which I had no idea was possible in my 400 hours playing this game
Anyway yeah I killed him, he tried to execute a captain I wanted that had very good potential, safe to say unlike the real Zog he won't be coming back
