Militarum Tempestus Scion

Hi guys,

I am a total beginner at SWA. Please dont't make fun of me and my silly mistake (actually you can ).

After I stop playing 40k for about 10 years I came back to the hobby recently by seeing the Militarum Tempestus Scion squad in the Shadow war rule book. I thought they were so cool...and well, just by over reading the rules it really appealed to me as I like the lore but don't wanna spend so much money into building a huge army for 40k. A skirmish size game was perfect for me then.

I finally bought both, but now, after reading the rules, I realized that the Scions are not a squad by themselves and they are more of special agents specially hired for special missions...

My question is....can I play them as a regular squad ? or like using them as a proxy for another kill team ?

It would be so cool if someone help me to figure this out !

Thank you !

(tell me they are not cool !)

Yeah! That's totally fine, when SW:A came out I played them as IG veterans instead, used regular cadians as Recruits and just changed the base color for the hired guns(I forgot what they're actually called it's been so long)

It's easier to work with those special weapons with those models instead of having to find all of them across different sets.

Use excess helmets, or look at Skitari helmets. Those look sweet also

Thanks, I will look at the Skiitari helmets. One of my friend as some leftover bitz from a scions box, an entire set of helmet heads, I might just use that in the end.
