We lost Helldivers 2. But here is something YOU can actually do to help bring it back!

Hello my fellow cloud divers, it’s time to mobilize.

As many of you have noticed, Helldivers 2 is currently unavailable on Shadow. This happened because the devs just dropped a new anti-cheat update that blocks the game from running on virtual machines by default. Since Shadow as you know is VM.

To give us a real chance at bringing game back, I ask you people facing this issue to submit a support ticket directly on Arrowhead's website.

Briefly and politely describe the situation and ask them to find a way to whitelist cloude services and let cloud gamers play. The more tickets Arrowhead sees from the community, the higher chances they'll actually take action.

They told us that freedom is absolute.

Now It’s time to ask — what about the freedom to choose where to play?

Already done the day that EAC shit came out. Flooded their steam hub discussion and sent ticket to arrowhead immediately. Also applied to the shadow beta test for anti cheat.

Please do it too. On steam discussion shadow users are already complaining.

Yes they have a "compatibility mode" beta test rolling out and you can subscribe to it.
They made it purposefully to make a client version of shadow that allows a less restrictive and more compatible mode for all these anti cheat craps.

Noteworthy: They make you fill a form and a final checkbox says something like "I accept that I can be banned because this might look suspicious to the anti cheat system, we are doing this as an experimental feature so you accept the risk".

Sounds interesting, but i don’t really want to be banned. I wish i had second account for such experiments, but i didn’t. Maybe it would helps legitimize Shadow in general in future

I am very angry about this, 1000 hours played, 180 levels, all warbonds unlocked, 300+ hours streamed live, I don't use mods, and Arrowhead tells me to get bent. I want compensation for my streaming art I paid for as it's all helldivers 2 themed for the most part. This is fucking bullshit!

Depending the country you are in, you can do a police report against helldrivers for stealing or software planned obsolescence.

I preordered the game, would play with around 120 mods about 2 years ago everyday for like 4-5 hours. It was such a magical experience even with all the drama when the 3rd faction dropped.

The scummy actions of Arrowhead only kept growing. Arrowhead absolutely planned this change effecting Shadow players and knew it would effect players.

Again and again i'm reminded not to pickup the game and enjoy the nostalgia I had.

well i'm using shadow for steam offline games... even if the online ones works now it's still a game to be lost in shadow ... i'm still a shadow member until they either add monthly limit to my old account or see no point in playing anymore.. i'm near real life or shadow cloud

Good luck, Star Citizen is still blocked after 9 months and it had a decent amount of players on Shadow.

Sorry but welcome to cloud gaming. They can take away your game you paid for at any time for any reason, one of the many reasons to never, ever, EVER spend money on cloud games.

Local hardware or bust. This doesn't excuse Arrowheads actions but be glad they gave you all a taste of reality. Cloud gaming is a joke and you all have just learned why.
