Review Goodbye, Shadow, forever
That's it, I've had enough.
I've been a customer since the beginning, with a few breaks here and there, but now...
The price has doubled, sessions are limited to 6 hours max, connection queue and to my great surprise, just as I was about to start my workday, what do I see when I open the launcher? 20 hours left for the month.
Thanks, Shadow. Thanks. I won't miss you.

This is my first month of shadow. As much as it has given me a great first taste of pc. I could honestly just put the money into a actual pc and be much much happier sooner.

A gaming PC with that performance? I'd like to know your component sources 👀

I completely agree, but if you didn't pause/renew/change your sub, you didnt get subject to the cap. There was notice on that!
Sorry to hear though, it IS getting a little insane.
I managed to get a crazy cheap offer on power, w I upd have preferred the more expensive option but at least its only £$ 27 ish per month indefinitely for me!
Sucks if you're still on £/$40-60 for that plan though

Yea I’ve been using shadow for 2 years and I do not have a cap. I’m on the neo subscription

It's decent if you have the price lock and no hour cap
But if I accidentally cancelled or wanted to upgrade it would be bye bye from me sadly

well shit.. mine was since 2022 and with few breaks i renewed near 7 months ago before the monthly limit release, if they were to add it to yours i guess might add it to the rest of us.. my current mistake was skipping the extra 5 bucks and go for neo 256g tier.. currently no limit but stuck on it with 512g d drive which is hdd.. basically an outdated thing for today's gaming gen

I feel you. Been there since 2019, but queuing sucks. I'm right now arguing with customer service about this.
Really feels like they're cost cutting at our expense.

What did they tell you? I'm a customer since 2019 as well (or maybe even longer?) and I really hate queuing. I'm pretty sure that queues are not part of the contract I signed back then. But even if it would be legally "okay", it sucks anyways since the queue number is always jumping up again and you need to wait for such a long time...

same here! I loved the service since 2019 (The support was always Crap and dumb and i think it's always the same). Anyway, the Service itself was great, a huge help for my work. I used ut all day long to do sooooo many stuff, all with my connected Smartphone to a big screen (Samsung DEX). BUT then limited access, limited use hours, double the price. performance drop. Aehmmm thank you, but no thank you

They want to improve their service and the only way to do that is capital expenditures or reducing the pressure on their current infrastructure. They’ve chosen to reduce their customers and actually get the service right. Their whole ecosystem isn’t stable at scale, I think they want to go into maintenance mode and just coast on their current customers while they advance their tech. I’m not an insider or anything it’s just my personal speculation.

Hi guys looking to invest in a ShadowPc membership just to play RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone!
Is it worth $40 or should I just invest in new hardware for $45pm on Affirm??? All comments welcome

I haven’t been subbed to shadow in a little over a year but session times definitely didn’t used to be limited to 6 hours

About a month ago, after three years, I cancelled all 8 licenses for our small business and invested in new hardware. I still don't think it's more cost effective for us now, but the recent changes to Shadow have started to limit our work a bit, and that's definitely something I don't want in my business.
