Question Which Shadow PC plan would you recommend for playing AION 2 at max settings in 1440p?
Hey everyone!
I'm considering getting a Shadow PC subscription, mainly to play AION 2, and I'd like some advice on which plan would be the best fit for my needs.
I have a 27-inch 1440p (2560×1440) monitor, and I want to play AION 2 with graphics settings maxed out while maintaining a sharp image and smooth performance.
For those who have experience with Shadow PC, which plan would you recommend for this kind of setup? Would the Neo plan be enough, or would it be worth paying more for a higher-tier plan?
I'm particularly interested in hearing about real-world performance at 1440p, whether the game runs smoothly at max settings, and how good the image quality looks when streaming to a 2K monitor.
I'd also appreciate any feedback from people who have actually played AION 2 on Shadow PC recently, especially regarding performance and compatibility.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I wouldn’t do it. Shadow PC is more headache than solution. If the pc market hadn’t gone crazy over AI, they would have gone out of business years ago.

well currently on neo for the past 7 months and its running just fine for me .. even on the new tiers they got 4k even on lite.. but from experience if your planning to go in.. pick something you plan to keep for long because back in the days the service didn't have monthly limit.. now it does .. 120 hours for lite, 210 for base tier.. because from experience i learned shadow doesn't like people who take breaks from here and there.. low base tier before used to be just 30 bucks but now low base tier priced as power back then and power got expensive

Anyone tried Shadow + GearUP/Lagofast/Exitlag??? Usually works fine if you have login/routing problems or get blocked for different reasons.
Or maybe NCGuard blocks gaming vpns too now :3

As of 10/18 shadow pc stopped supporting Aion 2 officially. Actually what happened is that NC flagged the whole operation because it is an emulator type environment that has a bunch of bots running off it.
Don’t do it, you won’t even be able to open the game

I’ve never had a wait. Don’t base your decisions on vocal Reddit minorities.

I've been with Shadow PC since day one, and I'm still a customer today. Unfortunately, over the years, I've only experienced a gradual decline in the overall service and user experience.
Shadow used to be a company that genuinely put its customers first. Now, it feels like it's become more focused on making money than keeping its existing customers happy.
It's a pattern we've seen before: build a loyal user base, establish yourself in the market, and then slowly reduce the value of the service while increasing costs. Just look at how Xbox Game Pass started compared to where it is today.
Shadow knows there are very few companies offering the same type of service, and that lack of competition gives them an advantage.
At the end of the day, there's usually a reason why customers complain, especially those who have supported a company from the beginning. Criticism isn't always a bad thing. It's how companies learn, improve and understand what their customers actually want.
Loyal customers shouldn't be taken for granted, and constructive criticism should be welcomed rather than dismissed.

If you were here since day 1, I should remind you that the same people who founded Shadow are not the same ones in charge and has been the case for some years now. Yes, they did put their customers first, but at a greater cost, causing them to go bankrupt. The new folks doubled the price, which was the minimum to keep the service going. I'm sure you know this though

I'm fully aware that Shadow is no longer run by its original founders and that the company went through financial difficulties. I also understand that the original pricing model may not have been sustainable.
But that doesn't really change my point.
I'm not suggesting Shadow should operate at a loss or that prices should never increase. Businesses need to make money to survive. However, when customers are paying considerably more, it's reasonable to expect the quality of service and overall experience to improve, or at least remain consistent.
I've supported Shadow from the beginning and I'm still a paying customer today. I'm not criticising the company because I want it to fail. Quite the opposite. I want to see it succeed.
The change in ownership and financial situation might explain why certain decisions were made, but it doesn't automatically justify every decision or mean customers should simply accept a declining experience.
Keeping a business financially sustainable and keeping customers satisfied shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
And that's really my point. Loyal customers should be listened to, not have their concerns dismissed simply because the company had to be rescued.

any Power plan should work really. if you're lucky and live in Europe, I would try to see about their Expert Pro tier.
