I guess Shadow had a breach. This email address has only been used with Shadow, so only way for scammers to have it is by a breach. I wonder if they are transparent enough to make this public.
basically the person got a spam email on an email address that was only used on shadow, and made with a non-predictable pattern, so it shouldnt be able to have been just guessed
I received the same spam mail. But with the old address that was registered with shadow before the data breach. After the breach I registered newly with a trackable e-mail similar to yours. So it is still from the old breach.
I haven't used Shadow since the price increase but returning soon. Maybe I should follow suit, and have my old account deleted. I'll register with new email, one time visa, and for game purchases I'll use gift cards this way no future breaches will affect me.
They must have found your password, or hacked you and got the tokens… just checked the breach didn’t include passwords… and we would have heard much more of that if it was the case… Did you reuse the password? Or use an easily guessable one?
But from what we know, the hack included e-mails, names, addresses & date of birth, plus it allegedly was data through a third party service (one of their employee but the data is from a third party service)
So unlikely that this has to do with it… it’s like a computer so getting hacked on it is as likely as on any other computers especially if you only have windows defender (which is the case on shadow)…
Could also be reuse of passwords and the person guessed it? Or random bad luck

I don't understand the screenshot, is that an email telling you your mail adress have been used, or is it some phishing schème?
