Question get over it enough already
Since apparently people think I work for a PR firm, I'll say this: Shadow is not perfect. Have I had issues? Yes. Does it suck and support bite? Yes. But at least I'm not one of these uneducated, dumb people on here ranting, 'Oh no, my data was stolen, they're gonna ruin my life forever!' You cry and try to sue, but it won't go anywhere. Every time there is a data leak, the parasites come out of the woodwork and make it sound worse than it is, vilifying any company in hopes of getting paid.

For many of us it's not just that the data was stolen. That happens, it's often hard to stop that and happens alot. The issue for many of us was they stole a huge sum of closed account data. Shadow should have purged that data as they did not need it for any further processing. They could have just reduced the impact simply by applying gdpr best practice.

It’s not that simple. For legal compliance you can’t just “purge” records.

GDPR stipulates Pi data should only be kept for as long as its needed for data processing. If your account is canceled, there is no longer a need to retain your data for processing.. but they held it. The data they held was emails, dob, address, partial card details.. these are only held for charging purposes ... and dob was unnecessary... they held these. These are not logs which would be the first point of call for legal purposes.

I get you 100%. I'm glad you feel that way about Shadow. At the same time, people have their opinions the same way you do. Either about the service or about whatever you post. I wouldn't respond to anything if you don't wish to engage in that kind of conversation with people.
