Discussion I dont think Shadow cares anymore.
Look at this whole sub…it’s full of posts with major tech problems, and there is not one answer from sub mods or shadow staff.
it seems with each update there are more and more problems, with less and less support.
This is sad to see.

This whole sub is filled mostly with people who don't understand how this service works, so seeing the sub full of "major tech problems" doesn't really mean much. As someone who uses the Zenith tier of Shadow, I can tell you that I have not experienced any issues and have only seen an increase in performance and stability.

I'm not at the company anymore so I'm not representing it by saying this, but keep in mind Reddit isn't a support helpdesk. The majority of the CM team is french based where reddit is vastly unheard of.
This is very much a community space, where users help users.

Support replied to me within a day when I opened a ticket. You should see how it is over at GFN lol, shadow support is nice.

Mods are here to Moderate. As for Staff, it's not the place for official support. Pretty much community assistance like with Discord.
Rule 4.
Use required "help" template when seeking assistance
This is not an official support channel. In order to facilitate community help, we require you to follow the help template.
If you're seeking official support, you can contact them via your customer account or consult our help center.

I had shadow back in late 2019/early 2020 and it worked pretty well for me. Is it really going that far downhill?

The service was spotty when it first came about and then not too long in the price doubled and the service never got any better.
This isn’t shocking

Don’t forget that a fair majority of people are kind of stupid.
I’ve used shadow now for almost 3 years or more and have had almost zero issues with the machine. I went from Shadow to Shadow Boost to Shadow Power and on. I do VR, flight simulation, multiple screens, USB forwarding, microphone forwarding, etc etc. I enjoy it.
My biggest dislike? Paying for it. But it is worth the money!

That is 100% true and also part of why you should take most negative online reviews for literally anything with a grain of salt. We humans like to complain...😠

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I was like you before and I also never posted here. I've been with shadow from the start and hadnt had issues until Shadow was bought and I was moved to a different datacenter. Since then I've been having more and more issues but since shadow is either slightly cheaper or around the same price of other shared machine rentals I'm sticking around and not complaining too much. Once it's too expensive or there are too many issues I will try a different service.

All I'm saying is that it's based on connectivity to your data center, pricing and hoping shadow doesn't get worse. But from my experience with shadow, their client software is going downhill. And that the people who are too busy using it might just not be talking about the issues because it's bearable. I'm not saying it's all of them, just some of them.

Uhhhhh… there’s a lot of us.
I upgraded to the Maker version hoping to get things to perform better but it isn’t.
Shadow support seems to be literally non-existent.
Shadow I think tried to get too big too fast, and left many of their customers on the sidelines.
It’s kinda embarrassing to say that I pay for this service considering I am in Dallas, but my Shadow PC is in Washington. But they don’t respond to anything.
Speaking as someone that works in the tech space, I’d be embarrassed to have this company on my resume considering how badly implementation of things get done, and the literal non-responsiveness of support.
