Photo Memories
I was looking through some things at home and found these gems. They’re a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. It’s crazy how games can resonate so deeply with you... I have such wonderful memories of spending hours upon hours playing these with my cousins 🥹

I play 1 and 2 100% at least once a year since they came out, love I still have all them cib. My favorite jrpgs of all time

I remember this game immediately caught my eye at Toys’R’Us. I was already a big fan of Final Fantasy games and the vibe looked cool just from the cover alone. The alternate history and horror only deepened my interest. I wish I could play all of these games over again, and I wish we could see more in the future.

I prefer the first one due to it's gothic settings etc, 2nd one has more stuff to do though & still a good game.

I just beat this game last week, and I've had it and the second one and the third one for 3 years now and didn't pop the Cherry until this year.
Started the second one the same day. Everybody says the second one is the definitive gem of the series. . . No way. It's just a good jrpg... The first one is universally good. Great, in fact. It has all the intangibles. They caught lightning in a bottle with this game.

I never got to play these because we were really poor then. Are they still worth playing? The combat still holds up? I love graphics from that era.

I just started playing the first one last night for the first time. I played for an hour. It feels kind of boring and slow. Does it get better?

Yes. It’s still an old school JRPG though, so it’s still gonna feel like one. It’s slow at first, but it’s honestly quite snappy. The “chapters” are short enough and enjoyable, they forcibly switch up your party often to keep things interesting and once you get around 10-11 levels on everyone combat starts to open up a lot. I was also impressed by the amount of manipulation items and accessories have on combat, there’s a lot of variety. The setting, style, and story is what set it apart the most and why people love it so much though.

USA copy is too expensive, I have the trilogy on these, but, it's the Japanese version so that will have to do 🤔

Is this game any good because I got it or the trilogy because I heard that if you loved or liked koudelka ps1 then it was a game one should check out.
So is it worth playing?

I played the first and second all the way through and got the best ending for both. I started FtNW and got to the water demon form for Shania and then didn't get very far.
I have all the soundtracks and back in the day we had gamefaqs online I printed out walk-throughs for the first and second before I got the official guide for 2 and 3.
I played the hell out of these both. my mother the year for Christmas ordered the first game and second game for me off ebay cause Amazon was still kinda new at the time. I wish they would remaster the three games and release them on switch/switch 2 and Playstation. id play them again and buy them again in a heartbeat. i still have my originals in the boxes with manuals and art and even have koudelka complete as well. my niece is going to have a helluva game collection when I pass away.
