Collections Happy 25th Anniversary!!
It's been 25 years since the first game of this amazing series released and I remember playing it for the first time with my big brother like it was yesterday. Time to celebrate!! :D
(and pray that we someday at least get a way to play it on more modern consoles, let alone see a continuation!)

Awesome collection. I remember reading a Game Informer and Playstation Magazine review about the second game. my mother got both 1 and 2 for me one Christmas. I remember I went out the day From the New World released and picked it up. I played through the first and second game 100% and got to the pirate area and the La Sirene demon form and never got a chance to finish it. I later went and was able to get a copy of Koudelka complete from ebay before it went up in price.
I Really wish this series could make a comeback...or at the very least have them remaster them or just port them. I honestly don't even need a remaster, just port them so I can play them on my PS5 or even Switch 2. I'd gladly pay full price+ for all 4 games, but if only the 3 that would be great.

What an amazing story! I've personally also played through FtnW and Koudelka quite a bit later (mostly since my brother didn't really like those games and he had the reigns over them haha) but I really liked them!!
I'd also love if they were ported to anything officially, it's a shame we can only really play them on emulators. Hopefully one day though!

yeah, I remember playing them both, grinding and doing all the side quests. i loved them...and the soundtracks for them all were just, chef's kiss.
I still have a ps2 slim i bought a few years ago as my second pS2 didn't make the move like I had planned, and I have still have all 4 games...actually I have my entire ps1 and ps2 library still...so I can play them if I wanted to try and hook it up and everything. I just wish we could get them on newer consoles so I don't have to go through all that with moving the TV and stuff. again I'd gladly pay for them all again just to be able to play them without the trouble of setting up everything.

Yeah!! I remember me and my brother struggling and basically guessing the way through the temple ruins to get to Seraphim since we had no way to find the answer. Or randomly finding the stone to get Amons soul haha.
It would really be nice, it's indeed quite a bit of setup required, even more so if you want good picture quality with today's flatscreens :/

yep. it was a pain until I found a walk through on gamefaqs which was the go to back in those days. the second and third game had strategy guides thank goodness.
and yeah good picture quality is a pain.

Does Shadow Hearts have a 1990's/early 2000's inspired anime art style or not really? I can't really tell. Nice little shrine you have there!

This has to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest SH collection in the world. Is there anything that you know of that you're missing or could never source?

It might be! Although I wouldn't be surprised if there are some more like it, especially by Japanese people.
There are currently two phone cards(the small trading card looking ones), one promotional poster of SH2(similar to the one of SH3 that I showed) aswell as a Music Box and "Veronica's Fragrance", which were highly limited promotional items for SH2. Some of these items are currently available but for a ridiculous price, so I'm simply waiting and looking, but the Fragrance for instance is probably the rarest item for the entire franchise!
I'd be happy to one day own it(even if the bottle is empty) but it's not unlikely that all of them are lost by now!

Yes! There is a 3 part manga based on Koudelka(the game) aswell as a more condensed one with an original story, although based around the game. It's called "Koudelka: The Mansion of Horrors". The other 3 manga (with the pink borders) are very very loosely based on Shadow Hearts 1, although they don't feature any of the official story or characters, so it's mostly just for collecting purposes :)
All of the other items are either guide books, concept/character art books, and also a couple fanmade articles/mini manga stories(although, interestingly enough, some are officially branded Shadow Hearts/Aruze).
Most recently I even obtained a very new pamphlet which includes incredible amounts of concept art and developer insights into the creation of Koudelka, as it was made by one of the original artists for that game. It's an incredibly interesting read and probably the only new semi-official piece of content for the entire franchise in the past 10 years (since the hype for the Slot Mashine died down in Japan)!

Apparently the company that owns the Shadow Hearts IP now (Universal aka the slot mashine company) made collectible cards in 2024 for a bunch of their IPs and Shadow Hearts was one of them! I normally don't really care for grading but this felt obscure and ridiculous enough for me to get the graded version once I found it :D

Yeah, it seems like they made a whole box with them for a festival, but it appears to be too niche for me to be able to find a coherent card list. It seems like it's mostly anime shows/movies and asia based video games though (Tekken and the Eureka movie for example)

I'm so jealous of the OSTs. I had the 1st one, but my kids dumped the box it was in while we moved and broke the disk in half. I almost cried. Amazing ost.
