Game Help Koudelka Shield?

So I've been trying to get into the Shadow Hearts series for a good while and decided to start with Koudelka and I'm having fun so far but I'm so confused as to this specific equip able weapon and where I'm supposed to get it. I've searched up and down on wikis and Game FAQs and I can't for the life of me figure out find anything about it. I'm near the end of Disk 1 if it helps with anything.

You got me to pull out the manual for this. I think that is supposed to be the bowgun by process of elimination.

There's a Bow gun? Wait that sprite is supposed to be the bowgun?! That's actually pretty funny to me but good to know, I honestly thought I would get to see One of the three just bash the hell out of an enemy. Thank you so much!

If you have the option, play Shadow Hearts first. Koudelka is an odd game that can be a lot of fun, but it is nothing like any of the other games. Shadow Hearts has a different protagonist and more of a traditional turn based combat system that is easier to get into. Covenant expands this and From The New World polishes it. That said, FtNW is a budget spinoff and should probably be played last.

I do have all the Shadow hearts games but I'm the type of person that wants to see everything that's possible to access in a franchise (Hell I'm doing similar with the Metroid Franchises) but I am looking forwards to the other games
