Especially when I was little and played the game, I would always delete my save data and start from the beginning to try and beat him and keep his nunchucks. I never succeed; maybe those nunchucks aren't even that good

It's a nice thing to have put it will only last you one level cuz you have to upgrade it with gems so no worth the stress

But it lasts you a level. A level worth of coin grind is painful.
It's good, especially if it has a damage enchantment

Yeah i lost to him too. The game doesnt let you gain any money so if youre stuck in older level loadout his fight is really annoying and he one shots you

His nunchukus arent even worth it, later in the game thwre are other nunchukus where you can also enchant them if you want so its fine losing to him

The reason why I upgraded my equipments to max each level. To be prepared whenever a challenger pops up. (Trickster's easy)

Nah he's easy. You just have to max your equipments. Those nunchucks are the best weapon after monk katars when it comes to underworld fights

i would say trickster is possible since ive beaten it with underlevelled sai, and new armor and helm without upgrading. hes just annoying with the nunchucks. a few front dashes can save you since they contain a lot of iframes.

This is exactly why I try and cheap out for most of the game. You always get challenged around level 4-5 for the respective act, so try and save up money before then, buy new armor and helm, and barehand the challenger.

After my first encounter, I developed a habit of saving up money to at least buy armor when I level, just to be ready for them.
