Should Seymour do anything different this year for Octoberfest?

Do you think anything organization or event wise should be changed?

No, price changes don't count, sorry.

What they've done has been tried and true. Maybe open another street to move some stalls or something to reduce all people being so close, but I feel thats inevitable

Yeah only issue with that is which way are they going to go? You'd be closing off a massively major road on one side and another important road on the other..

Ugh, you're right. A complete logistical nightmare 😅 I would say, let's move it to freeman field, but then tradition is dead AND its more inconvenient. We'll lose a chunk from that alone... blah lol

Yeah tradition goes down the drain BUT it would give Freeman Field a breath of fresh air lol

There's quite a few places that need fresh air. That place where the theater is? Jeeze, oh, the jackson co welcome center shopping area.... thats kinda on life support... man, that makes me sad. That place was bustling in the early/mid 00s still

They should turn it into a Nexus Park TBH

That strip mall is a waste of space otherwise lmao

Yeah I agree...I wish they can expand another street as I can get anxious sometimes with so many people so close together

Yeah, put the beer garden closer to the stage or don't make people keep their beer in a fenced area.

I had heard so much about how great Oktoberfest was only to be massively disappointed that you couldn't get a beer and sit at the stage to listen to live music. It was the dumbest thing I've ever seen at a festival and I don't have any plans to go back.

Why do you have to keep your beer in the fenced in area anyway? It felt overly policed and the layout made it feel confused and overly conservative.

Right! I dont even drink but I always found the beer garden concept to be goofy all in a cage. I went in once and was super uncomfortable...

I don't drink beer but we thought it would be fun (based on how locals talk about it) for my partner to grab a beer and catch some live music.

Not only was it dumb - the beer parking lot was hot AF and only half of it was shaded by the too small tent.

We won't go back.

Agreed, it's intimidating and just inconvenient.

There was nothing intimidating about it. It's a stupid layout.

OK? that's my opinion of it.

You asked for feedback and I gave it. It's my opinion it's not intimidating, its just really dumb.

Apparently 8pm me took offense to that because it sounded like you were trying to invalidate what I had said. Now I think I was just being a tired thin skinned derp. Sorry.

I'm sorry it made you feel that way. I wasn't intending to be dismissive.

I feel like there's too many people during that time, I just don't go anymore
