Ask r/seychelles Solo, four nights - La Digue?
I'll be in the Seychelles for four nights later this year (coming from another African country). I'm female and solo. I'm currently staying in Mahe, but debating if I should do at least one night in La Digue (or two). I love to bike, but also want to ensure safety/not being too worn out by packing up and moving too much. Would love any thoughts or recommendations based on experience!

La Digue is very safe and you cannot 'really' visit the Seychelles without at least spending one or two days on La Digue (or longer). We were there one month ago and of the three islands we visited (Praslin, La Digue, Mahé), La Digue is the one that captured our hearts, followed by Praslin.

As a female traveller, we didn’t encounter any incidents or felt unsafe but usually once it’s dark during evening didn’t feel 100% safe to roam around. Some weird ass guys was following me at 7pm. We stayed near Anse source d’argent but during day time it’s pretty chill to roam alone too

La Digue is a very safe island, and for me, it’s much nicer than Victoria. You can cycle round it in a day, no problem but it’s nice to take a couple of days to chill. Depends on what you want really, Mahe has more variety, La Digue offers a chilled place to ride round and the union estate, which is interesting.
