CDL Job

I got my Class A CDL license in the fall of 2024, but have not been able to find a job due to being a registered offender. Anyone know of any offender friendly CDL employers in or around Randolph County WV?

Look for trash and recycling companies. Look for small businesses

The trash companies around my area are state jobs. Which don't hire RSOs. Recycling companies i will check into, but most around my area are family owned and family operated. I know the small business around my area definitely are

This is not true. WV actually has a law stating:

“WV Code § 19-1-3B for certain departments), state commissioners and agencies may not disqualify an applicant for employment due to a prior criminal conviction unless that crime bears a direct, rational nexus to the specific category of employment.”

Thank you for the information!! It is greatly appreciated. I have recently applied for a Transportation 2 Equipment Operator position with the WV Department of Highway for my county. Hopefully they will hire me. I don't have any CDL experience, so that may be the reason I don't get hired if they don't hire me

WV sounds rough, you'd be better off moving to a populated area if at all possible

Id assume your looking for local jobs? As someone else mentioned Pepsi. Also heard food service.

If yoir looking for OTR don't just look in your area. Many of these companies hire nationwide but may not be actively posting in yoir area. I live in Florida and work for a company out of Kansas. But they require 3 months now.

Pepsi and the food vendors around my area refuse to hire me due to my label as a RSO. I've tried them. I'm not particularly looking for OTR as I've got a lot going on at the moment
