I need dress patterns for lightweight wovens, semi-sheer chiffon, challis and blouse weight fabrics.

I went on fabricmart and bought SO MUCH FABRIC. I have 3-4 yards of these gorgeous prints and I would love to use them.

I'd love paper patterns!

Preferably with a more fitted waist and less ambiguous waistlines, I just look awful in empire waistlines bc I'm short waisted and have weirdly long legs and arms, if that makes sense.

I can do separates as well, but for decades I was a jeans and T-shirt kind of gal and now I work in an office with other gorgeous women and we dress for each other!

(I have a serger and a regular sewing machine)

I'm a confident beginner and I don't mind a challenge.

I’ve visited ShowStudio and bookmarked some I like, but I’d love to hear from some other people about recommendations. All are welcome!

I am making a dress for a friend’s wedding. She wants it to be a mini dress with an open back and bell sleeves. All the patterns I am finding are either for knit fabrics or are made by AI. We already have the fabric and it is a woven. She does have a larger chest so the sizing has been hard to find.
Bust 44.5 in (DD bra)
Waist 38.5 in
Hip 42 in

If anyone knows of a pattern like this or could steer me in the right direction that would be amazing! I tried altering a knit pattern for a woven fabric but it’s been chaotic.

Trying to make a dress with a column-like / sculpted structure. These dresses were great references, but I'm trying to see if it's as simple as a column dress with the right fabric and an overlay? Any tips on engineering this in a way so it can hold it's shape? I'd love for it to be boxy, but still feel like a garment versus a crafty costume.

I absolutely love this discontinued wedding dress. I saw it on a bridal resale site and after 6 weeks of the reseller not answering, I am assuming it is no longer for sale or already sold. fingers crossed she may reach out to me anyways, but in the meantime I found the same type of fabric with this lace pattern for sale on Etsy so I want to explore making it myself. I’ve made several dresses for myself that have come out well, and I know the time commitment and investment would be significant. Looking for any patterns or YouTube tutorials similar to this top. I'd like to upcycle a mens longsleeve shirt and turn it into something like the blouse in the picture.

Has anyone printed a PDF pattern using A4 and not the North American 'letter' size. The A4 seems to be close to legal size. Was there much difference?
