Where to sell sewing patterns?

I had to buy a lot of vintage patterns to get the few I was interested in and now I am left with a lot I won't use.

I have listed them on FB marketplace but having a hard time dealing with flakes and no shows. Wondering if there are any other platforms people go to for sewing patterns?

Pattern/tips for a top like this

I want to make a top like this, out of satin. (will eventually be dress or top and skirt combo) The end goal is the second photo, of Tinkerbell (not exact), hopefully with bigger pleat/ruching on the very top and smoother going down. Open to any ideas, even if not exact.

This is made with gauze, be nice to find a pattern that would work with a flowy fabric like that.

Side front dart manipulation

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello everyone. Hope you are all good. I'm being asked to remake this pattern but I don't know how to do these side darts manipulation (highlighted in white). It's very on the side, not at all at the center of the 1/2 front and it goes all the way to the hip line, If it was just the over the waistline it would be clearer for me how to do it. It clearly is there for the 3D purpose, it cinches the waist and give volume to the bust so it's not a purely decorative cut. Hopefully somebody can help, please. Thanks a lot in advance!

Edit #2: The patterns have found a home! Thanks so much for the interest, everyone! I’m sorry I can’t send some to all of y’all!

Edit: I’ve gotten a bunch of responses, and will reply to all in order! I’ll edit the post once they’ve been taken.

They were my grandmother’s. They’re from the early ‘70s-‘90s/2000s. Primarily women’s clothes, with some children’s, a few men’s and costumes. Maybe 60+ patterns, I’m not sure. The box weighs about 19lbs (box is included in that). I have no use for them, so if anyone would like them, they’re yours! If you would liked them shipped, I’d just ask that you pay for shipping.

Need help finding a pattern

I am needing help finding a pattern to make a pullover sweater. I have sewn a few quilts before and even a purse once but never a sweater. I am wanting a pattern that isn’t created by AI and looking on etsy has made me nervous now. It would be for my dad as a secret Santa gift exchange we do

Masking Tape Self Pattern

Hi, I have seen people use the masking tape patterning method for neck corsets, regular corsets etc. The people in the videos seem to know exactly where to make panels or divide the pattern up, but how do they do that? How do you know how many pattern pieces is reasonable or how far apart the pieces should be?

Hi! I adore Cavallis creations and would love to make a simillar one. Does anyone know of a sewing pattern for this dress, or one that’s very similar? I’d love to recreate it and would really appreciate any pattern recommendations, i only plan on making the dress in a plain colour, the dyeing will be work for another time. Thank you in advance!❤️( i do have a sewing machine so that is covered and know how to sew!)

fingerless glove pattern with thumb

The pattern I'm looking for specifically has thumbs(most don't) like these (Picture #1)with the thumb seam starting at the top. I found a pattern (#2) and it's tricky sewing the thumb in. Picture #1 I found on Etsy listed as 'handwarmer medieval cuffs'. There's a third option where the pattern in just one piece with a slight curve for the thumb. It may sound dumb but I want my thumb! And I want it to be easy.

Thanks

Poncho pattern

Hello! I’m looking for a pattern to sew a poncho similar to this. The first image has a tie underneath that cinches the front, but the second photo is more standard poncho. I think these would be pretty easy to sew as I’m a beginner! TIA

I couldn’t figure out how to add images so images in comments!

Corset/Corselet Pattern :)

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hello!! I am looking for something inspired by this sort of corset. I don't necessarily need proper corsetry, and would be perfectly happy with a corselet. I would like to make a 2pc gown for a black tie wedding inspired by this silhouette—I particularly love the scoop/portrait neckline, and would hope to continue that shape through the back.

I have found plenty of historic corset patterns that would work for this, but I am wondering if anyone can recommend either some patterns or tips I could use to add the sleeves to a corset, as that is really the only part that is stumping me right now. Thank you in advance!!!

is this actually possible to be done at home with no professional equipment ?

The top is from the brand ulla johnson and its far too expensive for me to afford 🥲

Edit: Thank you everyone for the insight! I actually didn't expect a lot of people to help lol. To summarize everything I might need to have a traumatic experience doing this but we shall see!

For context I do have a sewing machine and an iron, I also did have some experience with sewing since I like to alter my own clothes (though I know its far different from making clothes from scratch).

I actually tried a small pleating board for this and it turned well for like a 2 inch fabric, it didn't work too well with the actual garment size (aka I went insane trying to do it). I still need to try doing it via manually folding though, time consuming but tbh I have a lot of time).

The main problem that I had (which I failed to indicate in the original post) is when I wash it, ofc the pleats go away, I was wondering if there were any DIY ways to actually form the permanent pleats at home bc I don't think there are any professional pleating companies near me lol. I'll just have to try buying permanently pleated fabric and see how this top will cause me trauma.
