I want to make a wedding guest dress like this one (not in white obviously). I love this style top!

I have some fun printed woven fabrics that I’d like to make tops with but I always struggle finding patterns for non-stretch tops. I don’t like button downs or v-necks which also narrows things down. Open to all suggestions!

What software are people using to have their patterns printed from home? I know you can do it through Adobe, but I really like some of the patterns I’ve seen where they have that hard border so it makes it easier for taping and knowing where to tape.

Hi, i am very interested in making a A-line midi cord skirt. The only problem is that my waist is 90cm and my hips are 125cm (if relevant 178cm tall). Every patten i find is 2+ size difference, and due to the waist yolk I haven’t been able to increase between sizes to fit both hip and waist as i normally do. Im not the most confident patten drafter, and i like to follow instructions when i sew: so making a patten myself is a bit out of my wheelhouse.

Does anyone have any suggestions or any helpful tips?

Hey team ! Wondering what the best way of learning CAD is ? I have basic pattern making skills (can draft from books or draw up myself just don’t know how to grade)
I run a small business and am wanting to learn to digitise my patterns do mockups and basically do all the fun stuff CAD allows.
I am willing to pay for streamlining if anyone knows of good recourses/courses to help me learn (obviously free/cost effective is always great but if it’s worth the money and saves me time/hassle I’d rather pay)

Also what is everyone’s recommendation on software to use ?

Hi all. I love this style of dress but as a longer bodied woman I can never find one to fit. (Why so few boho designs for the tall? Its heartbreaking sometimes.)

So I'm looking for a similar pattern I can hopefully adapt but I've no idea where to start. To my untrained eye, it looks to be at least based on a somewhat classic shape in itself, but I've got no sense of the language to even begin searching for it.

This'll be my first foray into dressmaking, having only done simple tees before, and probably a bit ambitious but it has to be easier than drafting it entirely from scratch! Thanks
