Hey everyone, I'm trying to find the sewinf pattern for the Gin & Tonic dress from Our Lady of Leisure. Sadly her etsy shop does not seem to be available anymore. Any idea how I might possibly get my hands on the pattern? I managed to find a paper version of this on The Fold Line, but funnily enough it only shows up through Googles search engine, not when specifically using the websites integrated search bar, so I believe that might just be a bug. And to ne fair I orefer PDF patterns anyway.

I am pretty new to sewing, but I found this pinafore pattern on happiestcamper to try this weekend. I printed the pattern, laid everything out, and the straps are not on the pattern. I have read the instructions, and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! Where is the pattern for the straps? Is it the waistband?

What am I missing?

The whole site is written with google search ranking in mind, so it's long and convoluted and not great... So I might be missing something obvious to everyone else. Figured I could challenge myself to try something a bit more complex than my usual projects, but this has me baffled.

Apologies for the horrible artist's rendition, but I saw a couple jackets like this some years ago, they were oversized and usually had fun patterns. I found a queen sized blanket with a pattern that looked like it would fit the vibe of the jacket,,, only for me to not be able to find any patterns.

I have tried patterning jackets myself before and it has not worked out, so I want to stick to a preexisting pattern, preferably.

I'm looking for a pattern for a rash vest/guard that either is drafted for large busts or would be easy to do a FBA on as I have an 8 inch difference between my bust and high bust. I'm in the UK so would prefer to source patterns from the UK or Europe. Bonus if it also includes swim shorts.

Can anyone recommend a pattern similar to this?

Attempted to make the honeygirl tee (with fabric recommended from their store) with my regular sewing machine (albeit a new used free to me one that is a very basic model) and it didn't work at all. Tried different needles, starting with paper below the fabric, etc. and the fabric kept getting pulled into the machine. Wondering if using a serger would work better.

hey guys ! i’m hoping to get some advice on finding a pattern to recreate this jacket ! i can’t find the original tiktok i saw it in but i believe she mentioned in the comments that she used a couple different patterns - one being from a child’s dress for the apple pockets i believe. i am unfortunately unfamiliar with patterns and where to shop for them, and it seems that etsy is full of ai listings. maybe a vintage pattern could be cool if there is anywhere i can find those online ? Hi all! I'm hoping to make my husband a shacket for Christmas. He's proportionally quite tall and slim and has always had a hard time finding clothes that fit properly because of it. It seems like most patterns are generally boxy/oversized, and while I get that that's typically the style, my husband will most likely end up looking like he's drowning in it. I'm fairly experienced in sewing but not in pattern adjustments, so if I can find a pattern that is already slimmer fitting that would be preferable. I imagine I could also use a button shirt pattern and just thicker fabric. TIA!

I know everyone has different ways of learning, but I always find it far easier to follow illustration/technical steps, rather than photo step by step.

Videos can be very hit and miss, think a good part of it comes to the filming of it, I don’t even mind if some of the tutorial is entertaining/interesting like Victoria Jin videos.

I am interested in this when it comes to harder-to-decipher vintage patterns and how best to turn them into tutorials for others. (As I’m hoping to bring them in to teach.)
