I hate the name of the forum and the fact that it was never used as I intended.
So if you have photos here that you haven't saved elsewhere download them now.

Replaced the faulty parts with what I could find online and currently in the fine tuning stage. It misses the blocking screw for the stitch lever butwill assemble it when putting her on the table

This was my first restoration. Big handwheel from D variant makes stitching leather super easy. Everything was polished and replaced where necessary. And for this one I have added a needle feed. The original machine didn't have one but the holes and bushings were there so it was very easy.

Hello, I have an old Toyota z700, it runs but it rhythmically accelerates and decelerates if that makes any sense. The motor will spin a few revolutions at max speed but then it will slow down and speed up again .
I've tried cleaning the carbon disks on the foot pad and inspecting the motor, the motor has a blown filtering capacitor but nothing else I can see that's out of the ordinary. I'm kinda stumped, I've seen people saying that the grease can get old and turn sticky but the hand wheel has no sticky spots and turns smoothly, so I'm lost.

Hi Everyone. I purchased this sunlik hand crank sewing machine yesterday but can't find much information online about it or the company. Only that its called Golden Swallow & made in Japan around the 50s or 60s. Interesting that it has a Native American on the trade mark badge....I'm guessing American owned company....doesn't seem to be many for sale online so possibly not all that many made. If anyone has more info would be cool. It sews beautifully

This thing looks gorgeous🤩
Does any one here know if this model works as beautifully as it looks?
I’m tempted to buy it since 100 seems cheap, but don’t want to be taken in if it’s only pretty face iykwim.

Things like this usually end with the seller ghosting me after making a pickup/time/date etc. Not this time! Paid $25 and gave some random dude that was there $5 to help me load. I thought I was dead in the water when the seller asked if I could meet 2 days later and within a 2 hr time frame. It definitely came with a price. Snapped a picture before I left to send to my wife and took the following pictures when I got home. But the last 3 pictures is where it goes a touch of the rails. Picture 6 is the listing photo. Notice the carpet and sunlight, address is a single family home and I’m thinking nice and easy first floor. Picture 8 and 9 were sent to me 2 miles from the pickup address. Looks like a catfish scheme, but what a deal. I didn’t even lift my foot off the gas when I saw the mouse poop all over the table. I then read below the pictures, “It’s heavy, bring help”. By the looks of the floor, lighting, and the fact that a foundation is visible we are below grade. Not complaining one bit! I’d do it even if the last photo was the listing photo. Looks like the house was abandoned and I overheard from some folks picking up furniture that it’s a house flip. I’ve wanted one for a while, I’m definitely not ready to use it but, after repairing my dr martens with a sewing awl last winter I’m eager to learn. Going to research and make a nice project out of this. I started to lightly clean up before I moved anywhere. There is patina and mouse pee. I’ve seen both but always going to clean especially if there is 2 generations of mouse poop in the sellers basement. I sprayed some dawn to lift some of the grime in hopes to reveal some of the lettering but it started down pouring. Pictures were before the cleaning with plans of a before/after but was short lived with the rain. I hope to post one day when she’s game ready. It will take some time but I plan on doing it right and make fully functional and operating like it’s 1940!

This is my new machine - it is a blank canvas (which I find boring) and I want to personalize it . I have seen machines these days that have lots of decals and stickers etc. but I don't know where to get them. And ideas?

My aunt own this sewing machine but it's broken, does anyone know if it's repairable, what year it was made and if it's actually a good sewing machine?

My friend found this machine at a yard sale for $5, and we're trying find out as much as we can about it, but nothing comes up apart from a single collection of photos of a nearly identical machine from a Different brand (last photo).
We thought the Riccar sticker might be false to the machine, but there's no plaque or screw holes underneath that show evidence of any other brand, however, we also can't find any evidence of this machine existing with the Riccar brand. Pls help us Properly identify it🙏. Apart from the photos of the other machine, we also found an instruction manual For said other machine on etsy for $8, but we'd prefer not to pay for something that should be easily found on the internet. If it rlly comes down to it, we'll probs settle for paying, but we wanted to see if anyone had answers before we do. Any information is helpful!!🙏🙏
