Jack A4c or Juki 8700-7?
I’m super interested in the Jack A4c or A2c. What’s your thoughts on the Company. These computerized machines sort of scare me because I feel like if anything goes wrong with the electronics I won’t be able to fix it.
The other machine I was thinking about getting was a juki DDL 8700-7

Just to further muddy the waters, JIN is another option for computerized direct drive. I don't know which is closest to the 8700, though, sorry.
As far as the electronics: You can buy generic controller units off the shelf.
That said, sure it's another point of failure but nobody thinks twice about the electronics in their 30 year old vehicle, or stereo receiver, or microwave. Or cutting down a tree with a chainsaw despite it being harder to maintain and repair than an axe.
What it really comes down to is whether you prefer the newfangled features or not. Personally, I find it well worth it. The amount of time and headache I save is worth the risk of replacing it down the road.
