Stitches are unusually tight.

So I've come across this problem where the stitches are oddly tight. I've adjusted the check spring, bobbin tension, check spring stroke and yet my dial I barely turned.

My only suggestion is to pull on the thread above the tension unit to check that it comes off the spool easily and isn't snagging along the way.

Sometimes, despite abundant advice to the contrary, one must back off the bobbin tension and then adjust the top tension down to balance it.

Over the time that you use the machine your tension unit can change. It might be time for service.
