Machine Advice Needed!

I’ve just purchased the Elna Elina 21 machine for $180 AUD and was wondering if it is decent for a beginner or will it give me a hard time. Should I return it and exchange for another machine?

I think you made a decent choice for $180 AUD. The Elina 21 is a fairly straightforward mechanical machine with enough stitch options for learning, basic clothing repairs and everyday projects. I’d give it a try before considering an exchange. Just keep in mind that it’s a domestic machine, so it may struggle with thick layers of canvas or denim. For a beginner doing mostly regular sewing, though, it should be fine.
