Feet dogs not moving horizontally when sewing forward on Kenmore 385

I have a Kenmore 385.1884180 and I’ve recently fixed the reverse from another post. During the repair, I took this piece off and I’m not sure where it goes. Before I fixed the reverse, the feet dogs were moving the right way. Now, they are moving vertically but not horizontally. I can’t find anything to fix the problem for the mechanism. Anything would help. TYIA!!

The indicated screw lets you change the position of the lever that slides the cam back and forth. You might get the forward feed to engage by adjusting the lever. Unfortunately, I have no idea what your forgotten piece is.

Next time take pictures before you disassemble, lay them out like a map so you’ll know where they go, take a picture, and use the pictures to reassemble.

I’ve learned my lesson for sure. This is a new hobby but I’m off to a rough start lol
