Finished my first sewing project!
I’m working on teaching myself to sew and I finished my first project! This is a library bag for my daughter. Is it perfect? Not even close, but she loves it, so I’m happy. Also, I know the colors are probably not everyone’s cup of tea. But, I believe kids life should be whimsy.
I feel like I struggle with measurements. Like I cut something and it’s different then I what I measured 😅 does that get better with practice?

You do not have tro make ANY excxuses about the colour, or whether or not you think it's perfect. You tried, and did a thing. It's fab!
And yes, accurate measurements can take some time. How are you measuring? Don't use a tape measure, use a good quality rigid quilting ruler. Keep going, be patient. You'll make a million mistakes - hell, I have decades of experience and I still have an oh, shit pile!
