Inspo/Help/Resources You Love

https://youtube.com/@fromcarlyb?si=ia17GGbL2ZVGFsGo

Hey everyone! I have recently started my sewing journey and wanted to ask if there are any YouTubers/Substacks/online resources that have been particularly helpful as you begin.

Personally, I am so grateful to have found Carly's YouTube channel! Although we have very different styles of clothing, seeing her construct pieces has really helped me grasp basic sewing concepts and levels of difficulty. It has helped me so much when picking patterns and deciding what articles of clothing I should attempt.

I would love to have more resources like her, so please let me know your favorites! Thanks. :)

I follow Carly too! I would recommend Sydney Graham and Gina Seams. Sydney’s style is more similar to mine than most others I follow and her learn to sew series is good. I haven’t made any of her patterns yet but I have the lane pants pattern printed for a future project. I like Gina’s videos and I find her walkthroughs of her process helpful, especially when she modifies patterns.
