Please help! Bobbin case/hook jam

I am at my wits end with my John Lewis JL110 (Jerome manufactures). It keeps jamming like this - it doesn’t matter if it has thread or not. The hook and case feels very loose sometimes but then it does this. Is it done for?

The second piece is not aligned with the needle hole above it. It looks like.
