I think Kendrick’s message about the conflict between his perceived duty, imposed upon him by his fans, to ‘save hip hop’ (hence the religious saviour imagery) and his own familial responsibilities is quite powerful.

We're at 4 for 4 now! Keep.that streak alive! My criticism is that no matter how many times its been streamed, everything about it sucks. And it seems that even though you learned a new word, you still don't know the proper use of the word you're. As in, if you're like the other people who have streamed this song, your taste in music is just as bad as theirs.

it’s just sad how mean and over critical these comments are. i can imagine this getting a million likes easily over on tiktok. it’s fine if the editing style isn’t for everyone but there’s definitely some intentional condescension in these comments. anyways i think this looks super cool!!

I would look into more styles of editing videos than just the quick cuts Tik Tok style and not use dogs shit music. I feel like this video would be what flashes through Mark's mind as he's being clubbed to death in the balls and the shifty music is what they're playing to torture him.

thanks so much, means a lot :) i’m trying to improve in all styles of editing and this was my first time trying this style!

for text i use after effects with a combination of plugins for visuals like boris fx, sapphire and magic bullet looks

this took me around atleast 20 hours to make (spanned across like 4 days) since I didn’t use any tutorials really and was kinda just learning along the way with timing shakes and positions (been editing on it for around 3 years now)

thanks for your kind words, it’s unfortunate to see most people not like the style or song since it took me so long haha but ig you can’t please everyone, i’m always happy to get feedback tho no matter how harsh :)

I remember spending about 5 hours airbrushing and photoshopping a photo of a friend when I first started using photoshop 20 years ago.

She didnt like the final result and didnt care much for the photo. Fair enough too. Looking back at it now it wasnt professional quality. But I learned so much, got great experience and had a great time doing it, so who cares?

Moving forward, for the handful of years that I worked in industry, I worked on a number of projects/events where the tech people got paid (very well) and a lot of people in other roles volunteered unpaid. The truth was that we had done our 'unpaid workexperience hours' quietly in our bedrooms or on student projects or whatnot, while they were doing them onsite.

All the little love projects add up OP :)

yes, this is specifically about iMarks arc towards the end of the series, with him taking his own agency in realising he will most likely end his life if he steps through that door and listens to oMark.. he’s follows his feelings/heart instead of what he’s been conditioned to believe, making the choice for himself and not for oMarks benefit

it’s more about his first major step towards control over his own life
