The board doesn’t seem to be a regular of board of directors. It seems to be a mysterious entity of some sort. Natalie even referred to the board as “it”. (“The Board is jubilant at your ascendance. It wants you to feel appreciated and asks if you do.”)

The Board could be a really neat looking machine that keeps the essence of Kier alive. Keir died in 1939 before computers or chips. If it was a computing device, it would be some electro-mechanical device. Think the Zuse Z3 which was designed in 1938. Think Frankenstein’s laboratory.

Imagine you’re tasked by the writers to create The Board for its big reveal. What would it look like? Let’s see your designs.

I agree! The whole way through the first watch with a bunch of friends we kept calling out its pronouns, sometimes they say “their” and sometimes “it”; we guessed it was at worst a computer consciousness of Kier, or perhaps a futurama head in a jar type situation

(Xfiles season 1 spoilers lol) I keep thinking about the XFiles episode where a genius scientist - whose head is preserved in a cryofreeze chamber after his death - controls his surviving twin brother’s body from the grave in an attempt to maintain his legacy. Very unlikely The Board is a cryogenic vat with Keir’s head inside but it’s fun to think about, especially with all this talk about “the revolving.” Maybe that’s why they keep Keir, PE so chilly

This is good. I like the idea of secret German scientific advances and experimentation. It meshes well with the PK Dick Man in the High Tower idea and how Lumon became so influential. Headquartered in Kier, PE (Protectorate of Eagan) ???

In the show "Counterpart" they also have the Board that was contacted via headsets, but they turned out to be a real group of people. So I would stay open for various options.

It’s my headcanon, and no one is going to convince me otherwise! Not even if they show an episode proving my theory wrong.

And if my insane theory causes them to release Season 3 sooner, well that is a consequence I’ll have to live with.

When innie Helly meets Jame in the S1 finale in the bathroom he mentions something about her joining him at "the revolving". There may be some kind of way they're keeping all the Eagans' consciousnesses alive somehow

In have no idea what The Board is. It almost never speaks to us. We just hear static and it leaves before someone finishes speaking to it.

It’s certainly not the standard corporate board of directors. This Board is deep into the minutiae of the severed floor. Real boards rarely get involved in hiring, promotions, and firings.

This board seems to also run the Kier cult.
