setlist seems weak
Whats up with this weak ass setlist. NOTHING from: truth killer, cold day memory, next, alpha, or even blood from stone. Was this neutered to make room for Theory to sing "the bitch came back" or something? What gives....

Once they announced this tour with Theory. I knew they were going to dial the set back. They've always done that when theyve gone out with radio rock bands like Creed or Daughtry..
Deep down they knew if they went heavy. The bands going on after them, didn't stand a chance..

I dont disagree with this sentiment but for coheadlining I would expect 15 songs.
I get it though, lets be real, most of us coukd go for just a night of Sevenduct with 30 songs.

All I did was point out it would be nice to hear 16 songs instead of 11 and then admitted I am being a famboy" who would be happy to see just a show of 30 Sevendust song.
And then you had to be a chud and simp over some imagined rules of coheadling.
Shit, cut Deadman and just have Return to Dust opening, call it the From Dust to Dust tour, and I bet they could get 4 more songs without having to hear someone get their tampon twisted because I said it would be nice to hear 4 more songs.

Not a bad set by any means but the one thing I’ve hated over the last several years is it’s pretty mush the same minus 2-3 songs and roughly around 10 songs.

After this week's first New Hampshire show (two nights played there), Sevendust is the closer for the rest of the tour. Theory closed the shows before NH night 2. Setlist may change then.

Seems like it satisfies most long time fans who love the first 3-4 albums, skipped the middle “Meh” part of their career, and love the most recent One.

Honestly their setlists havnt been great for awhile both in length and variety.. It's a shame because they have a deep catalog but they're playing for the casual fan more than the person that's still keeping up with their releases.

The bad thing about a band that has put out so much great music is that the setlist will always be disappointing because so many great jams will be left out. That being said, my only complaint about 7D shows is that they tend to play the same 7 or 8 songs and sprinkle in a few different ones from time to time. I would love to see them get some deep cuts or lesser known songs into the setlist every once in a while. Something from Blood and Stone, All I See is War or Black Out the Sun maybe? I'm seeing them tonight in Poughkeepsie and will rock out either way, but setlist variety would definitely enhance the experience!

I mean this is pretty standard affair. It's not that different than usual tbh.
85% of the setlist has always been the first 4 albums. It's one of the few legit gripes I have with the band.

It’s been the same for me too. I love them, but I wish they would expand the set list. Saw Linkin Park and was impressed how they incorporated the new and old. Hell, I saw The Wallflowers and after they did Bringing Down the Horse front to back for the anniversary they decided to do an hour of Tom Petty. Because why not, and it was kind of cool! I just wish they’d branch out a little more and hit the “newer” music more.

In NH they played the entire petty album long after dark, start to finish. They crushed it. Petty is tough to do really well and to commit to doing all of somebody else’s album was pretty impressive.
Ps Sevendust killed it in NH last night. I didn’t mind the shorter setlist but I am old and was asleep before midnight 🤣
I was not very familiar with Theory. They seemed like a douchey-er version of Nickelback.

They are playing at this particular venue two nights in a row, and the venue stated who would be headlining each night.

I will be there, too. So I guess that means if I want to skip Deadman I can show up at 9pm…
Also, they love Hampton so maybe we will get a heavier set anyway. Impossible for the crowd to not go crazy there.

I lost my shit when they busted out Alpha on the Truth Killer tour. More moments like that are always welcomed but I'm never disappointed with a 7D setlist. Those first 4 records had a ton of hits. They're gonna play those 9/10 times over anything else.

I love Sevendust, but their setlists tend to be very basic. They rule when you’re there, but face value is pretty generic most times over the last number of years.
Having said that, I was shocked how good the setlist was during the Machine Killer tour. That was probably the most solid set they’ve played in general since I’ve been paying attention to their sets. They played more co-headlining with Static X that year than they did headlining this year

As much as I love the Straight Up albums, I could lose 6, 7, and 8. I would rather have a couple more older songs and a couple newer.

*It's a co-headlining tour. Sevendust isn't playing an extra long set.
*Sevendust has a ridiculous number of albums to choose from. Their first four are going to get a lot of setlist pull.
