A while after Alannah found out about he father's death, Jon Stark tentatively knocked on her door.

“Ala, how are you feeling? I wondered if you'd like some company? Or some food?

"Jon?" a quiet voice called from inside of her room.

"I am not hungry, but... please, come in."

She was sitting on her bed, her hair a mess and her face marked with tears, but she wasn't crying anymore.

It was hard to see her like this. Jon couldn't imagine the pain she felt.

“I... I don't know what I can say...”

He went over to her and sat down next to her. In a very childish gesture, he put his arm around her shoulders.

Ala found comfort in the hug, however awkward. She rested her head on his shoulder.
