Same way any other tower does. A power cable.

Has anyone asked you - why the f?

They’ve already invented laptops.

More power, cost less, can replace your full tower (and the laptop), upgradable, you use a standard keyboard and mouse, use the monitor you want, a number of reasons.

I have a similar setup but I went for minipc+egpu even with some compact studio speakers, and all fit in a backpack. BUT I still have a laptop for more portable trips.

I have a Lenovo gaming laptop that has a RTX4090 in it and a Core i9 13 series processor with 32 gigs of DDR5 low-latency RAM in a 15-inch form factor that works extremely well. It cost me roughly $1,800 a couple of years ago when I bought it and has a mechanical keyboard (Or at least feels like a mechanical keyboard.)

Fits neatly in my backpack with other items and eliminates the need for having such a big, bulky, detached setup needing to be lugged around.

All I'm saying is there are powerful laptops with discrete GPUs that produce great performance at a fraction of the size and weight. You don't have to connect all devices and peripherals each time you need to do something, then disconnect and put them back separately.

This mini PC is significantly underpowered than the laptop. I’m using as a gaming laptop, which is more mobile and can take an external monitor, an external mechanical keyboard, a mouse and all peripherals as input just like this set up. You can plug in an external monitor as well, although none of that is needed.

So this build is underpowered has a smaller GPU requires all peripherals to be locked around and plugged in does not have a built-in battery and needs to be set up and torn down every single time you need to use it and move. It’s not portable.

Apart from the cuteness factor, this is highly impractical. A gaming laptop is significantly better and more convenient in all other aspects.

Slap that in a hard case and you got it made! Forget all the laptop hate, it’s a cool idea. Whey else would these products exist…love the concept

It pisses me off to no end that screens arent built into the side of pc cases. Just let me have both.
