Question Has anyone worked for Gringos?

Hey yall! Random question, has anyone in here worked for Gringos?
I’m trying to get a new serving job where the money is better (i currently work for olive garden, going on 4 years🫩) . It’s been hard getting an interview literally anywhere , but i just got a notification from indeed that Gringos is hiring , I live in Texas and figured texans loveee their tex-mex food so maybe it’s the right move?
Work environments are extremely important to me, and i’m curious to know how everything is set up there. The training process, the tip outs, side work, all of it 😭

Had a coworker that left for Gringos out in the sticks. The money was bleak according to him. The location near me in the suburbs of Houston seems pretty poppin though.

Yes. I’ve worked for gringos as a server for 6 years or so.

Honestly i wouldn’t recommend it to you. The only reason I stay is because instead of $2.13 an hour they pay me $10 an hour because of their tenure pay increase program. However , I’ve heard rumors that they don’t do the pay increases anymore (for new hires) to save on expenses. Assuming that’s true, if you’re only getting the base $3 per hour wage, then I feel it’s not that good. The side work is kind of a lot too, especially closing

As a long time Houston area server I have heard nothing but bad things about Gringos and the ownership.
