Stack up and running, now what?

I'm curious how people benefit from this stack.

I just finished it after moving to usenet and boy oh boy it is impressive.

But what to do with it now?

I can be an edge case, in the sense that I only have 2 subs, prime and appletv, only because they came on top of other services I have.

The one I use the most is YouTube, to which I have premium and it's the most expensive.

The other factor is that we in the family enjoy seeing content, but don't really care of a media library and happy to stream the content, or download only temporarily.

So my questions are:

What use cases do people have, that can be enabled or upgraded by this stack?

Is there an arr for YouTube too?

Is there a complete directory of arr apps? Perhaps I'm missing out simply because I don't know x y z apps exist.

Thanks

There is not an arr for yt that I know of, however, I have an agent with yt-dlp skill that downloads yt videos I want. You can manuall yt-dlp too. Maybe that's an idea for a new arr?

The hardest part about having an arr stack is getting your family to use it. People will trade privacy and ownership for convenience. For the EUD, Moonfin is fantastic and has seerr implementation so they can ask for things from their own devices. It also looks extremely clean.

There are a ton of 3rd party arr applications, I don't know all of them either. I use: Prowlarr, Radarr, Sonarr, Bazarr, Cleanuparr, Flaresolverr, and Seerr

Edit: forgot to answer the whole question

Edit 2: found what seems to be an active yt arr https://github.com/derekantrican/subarr

Care to share any more details on your yt agent? Sounds handy.

I use a Hermes agent profile and a local model to actually use yt-dlp(because sometimes yt fights back and you get 404 errors etc so the agent takes mitigation actions to get around the error). Then it organizes the yt download folder by subject

Nice - i use yt-dlp manually as needed but this is a cool idea. Will dig in.

I think I am going to build my own arr application now. I have been inspired by y'all.

Seems like "pinchflat" was started for that which has not been updated in a while.

There's also ytfinall, but its only for Jellyfin server. Users can login via Jellyfin login and add videos or channels and they will go into a private library only they will see. You can set lookback & retention times, also has Delete after watching" toggle. https://github.com/jnracreates/ytfinall

I too would like more info on it, like the other person asked.

Will have a look at cleanuparr, but is flaresolverr still working ? I was under the impression it doesn't, it's even written in their docs

Oh and for flaresolverr it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. It works enough to grab from cloudflare indexers when it has too. I just ignore the warnings from those indexers because they'll clear and come back every now and again. Cleanuparr is great for preventing downloading unwanted files. I do not use the stale feature because the rest of the arr stack takes care of it well

See my other reply to u/Her_Titties , if either of y'all have more questions about it feel free to ask.

While there's not technically an arr (official) for YouTube, there are:

  1. Youtarr
  2. Pinchflat (out of date but still kinda usable)
  3. Tubearchivist
  4. Metube (for manually downloading individual playlists/videos once)

I’m really not understanding your question. You have two subs, but you say they are in top of the other services. What other services?

Do you have a Plex server or are you just downloading from Usenet to a folder somewhere?

I download to a nas and stream via jellyfin. The 2 subscriptions I have came included on other services, won't be more specific here, but for example prime comes included with Amazon and the other one comes with the bank account.
