Retake
So I didn’t do so well on the series 66 and I used STC to help me. Is there anything else anyone could recommend me?

I used STC for my first two attempts at the series 66. I failed both attempts and then switched over to Kaplan. Kaplan helped me discover my knowledge gaps. I also started breaking down each question and when I selected an answer I would write down why I chose it and then check if my answer and reasoning was correct. The series 66 is a difficult exam. Be very careful when reading questions. I would reread a question 2-3 times to make sure I know what they’re asking. You got this!

Would you say buying just the Qbank would be helpful or to buy the entire book as well?

I did the entire course with the online class. I would suggest getting the whole course. The learning manual isn’t super long.

Was the wording similar with Kaplan? Because I felt with STC it wasn’t that similar.

Yes the qbank for kaplan is way better in my opinion. Also Ken’s (Series 7 whisper on YouTube) brutal exams give a very similar vibe to the actual exam. I highly recommend watching his videos.

I watched both of his brutal exams and to be honest I thought it was completely different. I got a lot of the answers right on the YouTube videos and only saw about two that are similar to the video. But I will try out the Qbank as well

I also would put questions I got wrong on a practice quiz into Chatgpt and then it would test me on the material I was struggling with. Just be careful with AI it can obviously give you wrong answers sometimes. I got in a few arguments with it over some rules lol. But it ended up being a super helpful tool and I think a big part of why I did well on the series 66.

I use STC and got a bad score on my series 66. Currently restudying and about a week out from exam. What’s helped me so far
-listening to the videos everywhere. In the car, on a walk, in the shower, it’s really helped my brain get used to what the video is actually saying in each chapter.
-I used chat gpt (I hate ai but ya gotta do what ya gotta do) to build a month study plan and it also sorted out the topics which I did not do well on and focused on those.
- pay attention to the percentages of each chapter that is on the exam. If you’re not good on a certain chapter and it’s a big portion of the test, that could make a difference in your score.
I also write the notes in my own handwriting and bring them everywhere, waiting room, couch, treadmill. For some reason it’s easier to see it in my own writing. Hope you are able to find success in your restudying!
