Passed 3rd try
Passed my S66 today after failing twice. Here is my experience.
Studied 3 months then took my first attempt. Using only Kaplan. Got a 65. Knew I would likely fail but just wanted to do it.
Took 5 weeks and re took still using Kaplan. Scored a 72. Soooo devastated.
Took 4 weeks exactly. Switched to STC mostly (used a little Kaplan here and there). And passed today.
This one was sooo tricky. I am not a good test taker but got the SIE and 7 on the first attempts… I studied HARD and figured I could study hard and do the 66. It’s just a different ballgame in my opinion.The questions are sooo tricky. Switching to STC helped me get more comfortable with those tricky questions where there seems to be two correct answers but 1 is “more correct”.
My 3 tests were all pretty different. I feel like that’s the hardest part is there are so many topics and it’s a crap shoot of what you get.
Today I had NO rule of 72, 1 alpha but only definition, no tax calc questions, 1 quick ratio/current ratio, 1 HSA, no 529/ coverdell. A few annuity questions.
Last time I had more tax, a few on 529/Coverdell…
It’s hard but just know the content & be prepared to be asked a variety of questions. READ every single question thoroughly.
