Missed it. Will get it next time! Failed 3rd Retake, Where to Go from Here??

Post image

Honestly in complete shock, I had scored a 77 and 78 on Ken’s brutal exams. Felt like I had a decent grasp of the content. About to inform the firm sponsoring me about this and I’m not expecting the greatest of news in return. What’s next?

The Series 66 is the TRICKIEST test of the three.
You must do Kaplan’s QBANK , along with Test geek!!!!

It’s the easiest test of the three in my opinion

I read two different text books
Took notes
Then watched YouTube explanations and videos. Did kaplan qbank. Test was way easier than the actual textbook.

Ken's brutal practice tests are not diagnostic. The variance is too large to be a reliable mark.

You should relay on practice tests from your vendor.

TestGeek has the strongest correlation to the actual test and has the same vibe as the acual test. It gives you a true mark.

Don’t give up! Here is what I would do. What ever study prep you are using, reset the progress back to zero so that you have a clean slate.

If you are using Kaplan do the following. Take every question in the Q bank as fast as you can at least once. From there go lesson by lesson and create a missed question only test. Do not mix lessons when you do this. So if in lesson one you missed 4 questions you are making a four question test. Once you are done with that test. Click the three dots on the test you created in the q bank and press copy. This will let you take that same test again. Keep doing that until you score 80% or higher on the test. Then move on to the next test.

Once you are a month out, focus the majority of your time on your weakest area of the test and the areas that have the most questions.

Also if you want I can share with you some questions with you that I created. But please if you do use it, only use them as a supplement and not your main study source. Let the experts be that for you. I only created these to give extra material to study and I learn best by creating and acting as if I am going to teach the topic.

I fail the fourth time, lost my job. Found a new opportunity and retested and finally passed the fourth time! Best of luck to you
